Voldoende water en Brinta voor een week en wij gaan een weekend stappen in het Ruhrgebied. Naaktstrand, amfetaminen en Disco uit de jaren 80. Zo hebben we een onvergetelijke tijd voor het hele gezin.

Jup hier precies hetzelfde. Met een enorme klodder gel zit mijn haar strak in een kuif, een gers overhempje en een strak wielrenbroekje met een meloen er in. Those were the golden moments carefree, young and innocent it was a total different era. If only we could turn back 😪the time ⏲️.

I remember when Ryan appeared on Top of the Pops on 8th September 1983 where this song was at number 21 charts in the charts at the time and his appearance had propelled it up to no. 5 the following week with a gradual descent after that but was also up against really fierce competition from Culture Club and UB40 who were also celebrating their UK biggest hits of their chart careers at the same time as well as well as David Bowie who was enjoying another new renaissance and Paul Young with his follow up to his number one earlier on in the summer. By the end of October that year, the song had completely disappeared from the UK charts mainly as it was played more on BBC Radio 2 rather than the mainstream radio 1. It was however the big summer hit in 1983 where holiday makers coming back from abroad had wanted to buy it at home.

Summer 1983, this song was Everwhere in Europe. Two week vacation in Ibiza - years before it became the birthplace of Chill - song was on every local radio station. Back to work in the UK, it was on virtually every radio station, Laser 558 in particular. Extremely catchy. Still have the 45 in a full picture sleeve. Good memories that summer.

Alors oui il y a cette chanson ... incroyable. Mais ce clip, si on pas appeler ça un clip :) ça nous ramènes a une ambiance so 80' et cette incroyable mode. Mon dieu que les femmes étaient belles ( coiffure permanente, style vestimentaire ... jamais égalé pour ma part ) la seul faute de gout de ces années là, était la couleur fluo ( pas présente dans ce clip) mais bien sur que ces années sont dernières nous ... et jamais ne reviendrons! mais comme la mode n'est qu'un éternel recommencement, j'ai quand même hâte de la revivre (j'ai 49 ans ) donc j'ai bonne espoir.Il nous reste pour le moment de profiter dans cette incroyable période musical et de vie , grâce à youtube .Mille merci

Listened to Dolce Vita again after many years and it totally stucked in my head (again), I keep humming those synth loops all day long, just can't get rid of them.
