Anything that allows you to buy a way to progress faster then others its 1000% Pay 2 win.. anyone who says its not p2w is dumb. and yes they are selling player power even if u cant buy it directly u can still buy gold with money which gives u the ability to buy said power from the trade market. Gold needs to be removed from the game and the battlepass needs to be redone so it dues not give anything that gives gold/rep/bags/mount(if they have special perks) such as flying mounts.

1:55 - Currently nope. We just beat the first raid available in CBT1, it drops a purple weapon - has NO impact on your appearance, like every other weapon/armor in the game.. Pretty sure NOTHING changes your armor/weapon appearance unless you shell our cold hard cash. They are legit that greedy. .. You can get some silly icons over your head for free, thats it so far. Also: You can buy DIRECTLY buy power with the crystal - You can buy a mount with a pay to win skill that is quite strong in pvp battlegrounds because unlike the free rhino mount - its's skill boosts your entire teams speed. And a technically to have to take 1 extra step to convert your premium currency to another still mostly premium currency is hardly anything that justifies there boldface lice. Neverwinter did this concept first ,and while it wasnt ULTRA P2W at launch, it certainly was designed to be pay to win, and it quickly progress into that, to the point players starting have to spend between $1000 to $50,000 USD a month to remain competitive in pvp. And perfect world/cryptic never made a bold face like that the game wasn't, just they ignored all concerns players brought up about there monetization model forever, and only further made it pay to win more and more over time tell the game completely lost all it's joy, charm and soul.. Same as Tencent will with this game. That said, due to the nature of players having to actually put stuff up on the auction house to sell you for gold, and most gear being bound on equip.. The most hardcore players who gather all the gear quickly anyways will be winning at least the first month or so of the game, even with minimal spend like just buying the battle pass ($30 usd, you didnt show it, its another pay to win aspect in addition to the CBT benefits pass, basically you will need botht to remain competitive in the long run. (And God knows how many "passes they will have on launch.)

If we compare season pass/benefits card with a subscription model... WOW doesn't even let you level up above 15 without a subscription, then surly you not "competing" with any paid player in PvP or PVE or "crafting"😅 What if they said: Hey, we are a subscription P2P game, but instead of capping free trial at lv15(WOW), you can free trial the entire game for free with a -30% exp gain and -20% rep gain etc. Will it be see as P2W then? Since we can trade WOW token for gold in WOW too, I would say this game seems as "P2W" at WOW? Maybe even less so?

If your game is billed free to play, but you have microtransactions that directly translate increased player pwer, whether it be speed, ease of access to convenience, or just straight up item power. Let's be real, your game is pay 2 win. Pay to progress faster is pay 2 win by the sheer fact that we as human beings are not immortal and we only have so much time on this earth. Whether you finish something that progresses your character in 2 hours cause you paid or I finish it 8 cause I didnt pay is garbage gameplay and artificial road blocks for the company to incentivize you to spend

I had the chance to play the game and it is bad compared to the upcoming competitors, It is just good to fill the void before the release of 1) Throne and Liberty 2) Ghost [Ghost Crawlers MMO] 3) Ashes of Creation 4) Riot MMORPG. Also lets not forget it has gender lock and its UI (awful in my opinion) is Mobile ported to PC.

This game cant even compete with the pc mmo market, its main market is mobile, if they had two different versions of Tarisland without cross play than would be different story, but since its not the case then it means that lots of features, like players count, effects, big maps and other things will be impossible because mobile will hold back on these features and others because of limitations of phones.

Aside from p2w element by buying gold with money, another problem from that is the market will gonna broke and the currency experience hyper inflation bc of whales that spend a huge amount of money to buy golds, I've experience some simlliar cases from another MMO that have trade market feature.

GW2 has this exact same system, but somehow its done perfectly.. You can buy gold/cosmetics/boosts but it doesn't put you at any advantage is its a skill based game. I'll still wait to release to see how it actually effects the game.. But ignoring all of that, I do really love the animations and look of this game.. Like its super easy on the eyes and pretty.

you can only see the lowest price of items in auction. meanwhile there are 4000 CBT cards stuck on auction. i dint think any server has 4000 players with 4000 gold to buy all of those cards. theoritically it's a p2w, however it barely sells.

only way to get best gear is crafting, so now you can buy best gear and completely ignore hardest raids since they only offer lesser gear even at highest difficulty. what makes it so bad is that they constantly promote it as p2w being strictly forbidden and they did say you can't buy anything with real money from any player store or shop.... player is the key word. that includes player auction. They literally had a 100 posts saying no p2w and even lead dev said it in his own words.

It’s really sad, I’ve played many MMOS, and the reason why players quit and got bored because of P2W system, lot of P2W players whaling bunch of gold/diamonds in game and rule the half of the map or worst. One example: Perfect world International - on glory days, these game are fun and many people hook because of farming and crafting items. But when dev started to shift it to P2W, whalers took the opportunity and F2W players like me, It takes 2 seconds to kill. Demn!!!! I’m disappointed

In wow you aren't limited with daily stuffs , here you are limited in dungeon rewards + farming crafting materials - In wow it was just a raid which had weekly reset xd Here everything is limited that you can do with your character. People will buy the all the end game gears they want from AH but you will need to farm it for days or if they are from raids and are limited weekly could take your months to get your specific gear. Think about it again.

I'm in this beta and i must say the game is ok, just ok. This is not what i would call a real mmo, your weapons never change, you don't really loot anything, it's all done for you. Forget about going out in the open world and grinding or trying to get good loot from named mobs. I play a ranger and it is seriously shit compared to WOW hunter, your pet dose not stay with you, it's a skill that you use in battle to summon pet, then it dies. It's an open world but you are on rails big time. They say it's not p2w but it is to a degree. 5/10

Why cant content creators keep issues and reports between them and the devs to give us players a good game on release. I just found out this was the same Publisher we had with Dragon Nest 2: Evolution 🥲 (Level Infinite ). They left that game incomplete, lots of bugs and Some users data are gone including their characters. I can't trust them at all. In their first month, All are about costumes , packages and battle pass to buy via Top Up. Don't believe them when they have said it's F2P friendly. Coming from an experience with their previous game , It'd be heavy P2W ! All in-game currencies and gems or any for character development are obtainable via Top Up. You'd see the big gap between F2P and P2W whales.
