Gonna be a beaut when it comes out, already thumping out a 6 oz and sandeel/squid with the gt a good 20-30 yards further than my fireblade, so can't wait to see what their top of the range performs like. Only hoping it doesn't come in quite as dear as the t1000-t1200s

Your are on something by there, zziplex could easily put a steel ring or sew in hook onto that hood. You could then hang on the stand, putting the rod case, reel covers, some spare bags that I carry in there, a light jacket or anything rather than having them in your box in the way a lot of time.

I bought 2 x zziplex rods albeit second hand and hated them. Like using a broom handle. I appreciate it’s a special bit of kit for long distance pendulum casters but not for me. I told the fish I had a pair of zziplex but they weren’t impressed either So went back to my cheap and cheerful vercelli rods and back up old school daiwa moonrakers 😁 each to their own happy fishing with your new kit

to be honest they dont seem to be that bad price wise , the AFAW holdall is more expensive from memory and VMO's is a little less , so yeah you may be paying for the name but I also think you could be paying even more , a pair of M4 GT's are pretty much my dream rods Im not jealous at all

Rang Century for a reducer to fit original Zziplex m4gt and was told the ones they make don't fit so makes you wonder are they the same rod ?

I think because they stopped designing rods when Terry carrol died his wife sold the company to century as long as all the rods are made the way Terry made them.

It's a quiver so if you don't put the hood on there is no limit within reason. With the hood I'm guessing about 6ft.

No different from coarse stuff same manufacturer just different branding ,racket really, but that's up to the buyers, way over expensive rods?how many people who buy them can actually use them properly?

You could say the same about many types of high quality sports equipment. cameras, musical instruments, cars, etc, etc. People may not be capable of using them to their full potential, but so what? If they derive pleasure from having nice toys and they've worked hard to be able to afford them, good luck to them.
