Isn't it uncomfortable to remove the oil filter when you change the engine oil?

I bought the intercooler kit from ZZP, and it came with Aluminum (or some other metal) Charge Pipes.

Mine is aluminum as well, they are just powder coated

@@jamesrevels Hey dude. I dropped my car off at a Mechanic on Wednesday, and I still don't have my car back. The mechanic isn't being very communicative. What are some of the things that could go wrong with an Intercooler Install, and a Turbo Upgrade/Replacement?

It doesn’t sound any different. It just doesn’t heat soak and keeps intake temps down with extended use

Yo man I have the same engine 1.4l luv turbo in a 15 encore according to gm the sonic and encore also have a very similar layout for the intercooler. Would you think it would possibly work on the 15 encore?

Torres you what make tune but l know you what make more power on put another turbo let say like 250 oh 400 hp need to make tune oh no can blow engine oh transmisión parts inside but you only what put intercooler with turbo compresor l think don't need tune You can make tune give you litter hp but no to much you think is much

I'm thinking 🤔 the air dam is the plastic piece right under the bumper I just recently took my fender liner off and seen those charge pipes I had leaky oil all over one side by the engine pullys I'm thinking that the VVT seals that always leak . Also I noticed how soft those hoses are not even as tough as a radiator hose .. it's been awhile how do you like the cooler compared to the stock one ?

I like it pretty good, it definitely looks better and keeps intake temps down after running it for long periods of time compared to the factory one.

Did you notice changing the oil filter was difficult after install of the cooler ? I was reading the ZZP reviews you don't need to take the upper charge pipe loose to change oil filter do you ?

You definitely have to in order to replace it

No, all you’re doing is keeping the intake temps cooler. Not changing fueling or timing so no tune needed

I wish they had a liquid intercooler upgrade. I don't like how long that charge pipe is. Good results?

I haven’t done any real testing with it and a 5-10 hp increase is going to be hard to notice, but that combined with a lot of other things will definitely help a lot. I’ve drove other stock Sonics and mine does feel quicker to me though

@@jamesrevels I cracked the stock turbo on mine. Getting the V3 one as a replacement. I was planning on leaving the stock intercooler in as it is primarily a MN winter car. I agree 10hp is too little to tell even on such a light car, but the added cooling I figured was more of a prep measure for a power adder than a power adder it's self. Thanks for the full teardown video. Save me a lot of time when I do it myself.

Yes, the stock turbo has a tendency to crack. I think mine was replaced before I bought the car because it looks too clean, I know it’s at least been taken off once before. I have a bunch of mods coming in the next few months for the car and I’ll be posting all of them. Th V3 is unfortunately gonna have to wait though
