. . .Perhaps it's a deconstruction of the "Aloof" or "Loner Student" or something? Deep down, Ellen still wants to enjoy life with her friends, and eventually, she earns that. It's definitely unexpected for her, and she keeps up her aloof demeanor most of the time... but she's still enjoying everything. It's also a deconstruction of the NPCs, maybe. I mean, normally, in other media, the girls wouldn't even approach Ellen because of how she kind of is... but they do anyway. They break the stereotype that a loner student needs to stay lonely all the time until some sort of random exchange students appears, instead, they actually form this bond with her, breaking the invisible barrier between them. _I'm thinking way too deeply about this, aren't I?_

I get the vibe she is a great white shark. Great white sharks are loners, the video shows how Ellen tries to be alone as well, but she wishes to be as common sharks, who are most of the time sociable fishes. That's why all her shark items she has are not dark gray-black colors, instead they are blue or light gray. So while her nature tries to put her away from society, she loves to be dragged by others so she can enjoy sharing good times with people.

if you like zzz this much, you’ll probably love hi3’s playstyle. they’re virtually the same (zzz has a few newer features ofc but the dodging and frequent character switching is there). plus p1 of hi3 is set on modern earth, and arc city is gorgeous
