I had a similar experience but never thought of leaving the front open & even taking 1 of the sides down. Did you experiment with that at all?

One issue with your overview is that Choir Omni doesn't come with Kontakt 7, it is sold separately. Kinda misleading, don't you think?

Thanks for the video. It’s been really hard finding a video on orchestral staff in K14. Nice enough to make basic things. I would have loved to see a detailed explanation of each section, by the way.

You’re welcome and I appreciate the feedback. Unfortunately that’s the Kontakt browser - it only plays one note. However, I play some during the “Favorite Presets” section. 🙌🏽

Looks great! I’m always debating, do I use NI instruments, or samples from LoopCloud or Splice? Everybody has their own preference and style, but I lean towards instruments because of the built-in features.

The Kontakt integration is exactly what I was hoping for. So annoying on the MkII to have to use Komplete Kontrol software as a wrapper.

I watch a whole lot of KZbin involving creative music making, mostly orchestra related. But as I am always looking to better shape my collection of tools, this looks to be a great one to use along with a good drum set library like Superior Drummer 3. You did a great job laying down the basics. This looks great! Too bad I missed the 50% off deal by a day.

Sounds like someone tryna avoid Eqing vocals.. 😆The Isovox does the job it’s supposed to well.

Nope. Just skipping the step of recording crappy $1000 vocals and going straight to the EQ step. This thing DESTROYS the vocal performance. Feel free to buy it for yourself 😎

I never understood how the ribbon strip in the MK2 version could pass product design or prototype status at NI. The position under the pitch bend was the most pointless thing I had ever seen. I kept bumping on it with my hand

And why they dropped the Maschine support for internal stuff like instrument control in the MK3.. sure they want to sell their hardware,... we''ll never know

Talking about bad recording environments; My house was built in the 50s. There is no insulation in the floors. I'm set up in my half-finished basemen on the other side of an uninsulated wooden wall, behind the furnace and washer-dryer. My sister, bro in law, 2 y/o nephew, and elderly parents all live with me, and only ONE has an indoor voice. No joke; my Shure MV7 once caught a dinner conversation going on in my kitchen. Upstairs, and about 15 feet from my door! lol Also my recording area is directly below the entrance to my toddler nephew's room, so there is constant walking back n forth, with the old boards creaking.

This plugin is very easy to use, the other harmony plugins could learn a lot from it. However, the vocals endup sounding like Alvin, Simon and Theodore.

Glad I could help. But no, I prefer to not spend over $1k and get crappy results. Reverb can be taken out. You cannot “recreate” all of the damage the Isovox does to the vocal recording. Good luck!

Right now the best we can do is program it how we want, maybe make a few variations, play the midi trigger notes into our daw, then render to audio. We could treat each song section with different parts/grooves. 🎹♥️
