While I look forward to the information, I find your excessive hand fluttering and clasping distracting and your enthusiasm is a bit on the syrupy side. Even good things should be done in moderation and with some degree of being calm. It's as if you're about to become married. Just breath deeply and relax a little. Many thanks otherwise. .... Alas, I found the solution: just listen without looking at the screen or close my eyes. :)

I am antsy today, admittedly, but the hand gestures I find obnoxious, unhelpful, maddening-- like way-loud music in the supermarket. I play piano, knit and sew. Recently I gave up on a fiddly knitting project and opted for a way simple pattern to use the pretty yarn. I was dropping stitches. And coffee filters are hard to separate. These aren't new concepts, only movements I've been doing for decades. Anyway, while you are a cute lady, I'll have to look elsewhere for the info. By the way, I spoke at a memorial service a while back, and they videotaped it! And I cringed to see that woman in black lace waving her arms all over, maybe signaling landing aircraft! Weird, huh!

My left forefinger is stiff in the second joint when I try to make a fist. That is the finger that also has a twitch which I believe is the precursor for a PD motor symptom. Do you have any comments on what I should do about the forefinger stiffness?

I've had CPS for years. This is a good description. It's so unbearable at times I just want to die. I came to this video looking for more help. 1 thing I must add is that your opening rock music immediately spiked my pain level. Perhaps you could consider a more soothing musical opener for other patients who seek help here. Thanks so much for what you're sharing. This disease is brutal and deserves much more attention.

Talk about serendipity, you don't know me, but I'm your dad's cousin, Linda. I have ET, and I really don't know how I came across your video. I was doing some research on Steadiwear to see if it is even an option for me, when I recognized your face. It took me a minute to place it, but couldn't help but see your mom in you. Anyhow, I am very impressed with your video and will be trying out your suggestions. Keep going girl! We need more people like you helping us "shakers"!

Your sound volume is too low for me to be able to hear much of what you say. Or maybe you could blame my crappy little computer speakers. But I think I understand most of what you say. My neurologist wanted me to start taking propanerol (or whatever it's called) before trying anything else such as MRI guided ultrasound treatments. But I don't want to be placed indefinitely on possibly addictive pills.

Thank you so much. I have essential tremor that’s progressing and I am needing more work arounds. Curious about the wrist splint and the idea of cooling the arm before using the arm. I’m curious what you do there? Like wrap all the way around forearm with large ice pack or smaller ice pack to certain area of forearm. The bracing of one hand to use the better hand helps for me some but i try to paint my nails and it’s pretty messy. I literally have to hold the brush in my left and prop it and then steer other hand’s nails under the brush and drag them under. Still very messy but I eek out painted nails and let the excess polish (that always ends up all over my skin) soak off in the bath to loosen it from skin and then scrub gently with washcloth on the skin painted by accident. It’s super frustrating but I usually eek it out. Looking forward to following you.

The poppy pods make a sound when shaken, just like a rocking human. The poppy pods resemble a human head. Poppy seeds are gray in color. The cells responsible for Parkinson's disease are the gray cells in the brain. Poppy seeds contain plenty of omega 3, which is beneficial for the brain. Sleep problems are common and problematic in Parkinson's patients. Poppy seeds have a narcotic and sedative effect. In insomnia, it is recommended to eat poppy seeds with sugar. Poppy is the most powerful sedative and pain reliever found in nature. One of the most common complaints of Parkinson's patients is pain. Depression and anxiety are common in Parkinson's patients. The psychoactive compounds found in poppy seeds can lift your mood by relaxing your muscles and mind. Like many powerful pain relievers, poppy seeds can provide a sense of euphoria or gratification that dispels depressive episodes and provides a burst of positivity. Today, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, which are brain diseases, and glaucoma and macular degeneration (yellow spot disease), which are eye diseases, are considered as progressive disorders (neuro-degenerative) of nerve tissues. Loss of eye nerve fibers is important in the early diagnosis of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases. Zinc and antioxidants in poppy seeds protect against eye diseases. I am not qualified to say that the cure for Parkinson's disease is hidden in the poppy plant, but I have the courage to dream.

The “doctors” here think it’s all my anxiety, they took away the only medication that helped and now I’m a shaky mess and I avoid most things because I shake like a damn leaf and have no energy to interact with people. It’s all normal apparently. I figured out the finger flick thing by myself, it’s a temporary small improvement.
