@rainbowchaser90 - I can't thank you enough for posting this broadcast. This concert reminds me of one of the most beautiful and miraculous times of my life. Almost exactly 40 years ago today. When 'the love I'd lost, I found again!!!' He introduced me to this new artist, whom he cherished Jane Olivor, as part of the celebration of our new reconciliation! Her musical gifts and stylings were extraordinary and unparalleled.

I’m 75 and Jane has been my all time favorite female singer since the 1970’s. I could listen to her sing all day.

My favorite solo artist. Miss her so much. Wish I could hear more of her songs.

Apparently she is very shy as a performer, but once coached out she is magnificent in her phrasing. It is almost like hearing something fragile in her voice but so beautiful. I still say that hearing her recordings in an intimate setting is the best for you can experience the true sweet sound of her voice, and it’s all yours. Bravo, Jane.

It's a shame she had a nose job which changed her voice...not for the better.

Considering this was recorded 45 years ago it feels fresh and oh so elegant! Sure wish Jane Olivor would sing again on TV or in concerts around the USA. I know time has passed...

I learned about Jane when I was a music student at IU in the 70's. To say I was totally blown away by her is cliche but it is true. I bought all of her albums and couldn't get enough of her angelic voice. Such power, control and dynamics. Not of this world. When I heard her sing this song for the first time it reduced me to tears. It still does. She makes know what true love is all about. I continue to wait for Some Enchanted Evening to happen. Until then, its Jane and me...

from my understanding this concert was one of those PBS fundraisers that featured various artists - - such as Jane Olivor . . . . . . i also seem to recall seeing somewhere that for certain donation amounts the donors typically received various "gifts" . . . among them being a videotape recording of this concert . . . . however, i've never seen the videotape ever show up on ebay . . . . so let's be grateful that we have this on youtube . . . hopefully forever . . . . . . . thank you, rainbowchaser !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fell in love with the voice playing on the other side of the wall, it was a record store in 1978. I marched over and bought this right track tape, still play it now and then on my old panosonic player. She’s my favorite female artist of all time!

I've watched this performance repeatedly, and I am still left dumbstruck. I bought her albums way back in the late 70's and early 80's. My heart aches for her talents that went dormant for far too long. I'm 70 years old now, and I'm sure Linda is a similar vintage to mine.

Linda Cohon, I fell in love with you many decades ago. Long before I'd ever heard of Celine Dion, or knew of BS. You are my "go to" lady of soul. You were and are still amazing. I LOVE YOU! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Best version ever, by anyone! If not for her crippling stage fright and the tragic death of her husband she would have put Streisand completely in the shade. Bloody marvelous singer.

Long before Celine Dion came on the scene, Jane Oliver was my "go to" music on a Friday evening after work. A bottle of wine and Jane Oliver on my record player....yes that old fashioned thing; a vinyl record on a record player....❤❤❤

Want to be a pretty girl and have an easy kind of love Wouldn't have to say much Wouldn't have to long for a touch And life would be so free and easy Like a pretty girl Want to be a pretty girl and have somebody look at me with pride I'd be a rose or rainbow with color shining from my soul I know I wouldn't want to hide this pretty girl inside If I had myself to make over, if I had magic hands I think that I would change his eyes that can't see me the way I am Want to be a pretty girl even if only in my mind I'm gonna buy a red dress like movie stars and princesses And sing a song 'til my heart is pretty all the time All the time
