Just pulling the thread from away the needles in order to release the tension. After that you can pull it away from the needles under the foot.

Brand new to sewing I have the 4452. Got it to where I can practice some stitch’s and then it jammed up my needle was stuck and I had to take it all apart to fix it my guess is I didn’t put it back correctly because it jams up at my first stitch so I check the bobbin area again and each time it does the same. What am I doing wrong. What did I do. ?

I’m just setting up my brand new Heavy Duty 4411 and the timing apparently is off. It’s not with the bobbin, though. There is a screw that attaches the upper threading arm and it’s hitting a metal plate that is part of the stationary metal post. I live out of 5he country and can’t find anyone who can repair this. Any suggestions?

Hi there. I thank you so much for providing this content. Some of us can't afford to pay the price to service the machines. I'm sure it's worth it but it's out of my budget now. I want to oil and service by Singer HD6800C. However, I cannot figure out out how to start by remove the cover. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a top piece like this model. In addition, there are hardly any videos on my model at all on KZbin. Any chance to can provide direction on how to remove the cover? I have searched for the service manual and can't find it anywhere. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

Not all the included speed controls are built with that adjustment pot. There are many externally identical versions that are built with slightly different circuit versions inside, without including that adjustment control. It depends on which of their suppliers built the speed control for them at that time. The individual machines can get smoother running and easier to start up as the machines eventually wear in, as some are initially built pretty tight and clunky from the factory.

I havent been able to sew because I cant manage to have the thread not give me issues I dont even know if there is truly a malfunction with the machine or its just me doing something wrong. Amazing. One question-- my top thread is not catching on the bobbin hook, but how do I know if my problem is needle height, hook timing, or both? This machine is not made for leather. Why would anyone buy a walking foot or triple feed Consew, Juki or other big name at 5 times the price?

Many people own this machine around the world. Most people don't have the room to buy a industrial machine. Meanwhile, to prove your wrong I've sewed up many leather bag with this machine. Knowing how to use the correct needle and understanding how to feed the leather with a slick glide foot it does a great job.

Quick question maybe someone can help with. I’m new to sewing, i came across an older singer 6215. I’m noticing when reverse stitching, the stitch length is much longer than it is going forward. Not sure if that’s intended, or if something is wrong with the machine itself (it’s from the 80s and sat in a closet for the last ~20 years. I’ll have a short stitch length set, but the moment I reverse stitch, it nearly doubles the stitch length only in reverse. Thanks in advance.

Thank you so much for posting this. You just helped me solve 1 part of my problem! Thanks Kevin! Any chance you might know why I am getting a lot of pulling resistance on my thread after I place my thread through through part 4+5 of my tension disks? (I have a Singer 6800C). I know I am threading correctly.. This is something new. Have an amazing day!
@kevinsews
@kevinsews Ай бұрын
First, turn the tension down to 0 and pull the thread through and see if it flows freely. If it does slowly tighten the tension while slowly pulling the thread through the needle until it starts slightly moving the needle. That will give you a good starting point. If the thread doesn't move through at 0 then get some dental floss and clean out the debris in the disc.
