As a past gutter installer I want to thank you for your mindfulness. There has been so many ocassions where the drip edge was just "hammered" against the fascia board. I do not do the work anymore, but this video helped me with one small project. Thank you!

So this just happened to me right now, this moment. I'm not the original home owner though and was unaware of the pipes being up against the roof. They just punctured my line while getting the roof replaced. So you think I should split this costs. I'm paying out of pocket fully on this repair as well, Insurance did not cover.

I’m very surprised this video only has 1,700 views. Very well done. I’m in northern climate where we have 2’ requirement of I&W behind hot wall but chose to run it up the whole roof due to 3/12 pitch.

Been watching videos of this subject and you are the only person I found that suggests the drip edge sandwich technique. I'm re-roofing my cabin right now, live in a snowy climate (interior BC) and suffer ice dams every year. Had to replace some sections on plywood because of the dams. Finally a solution that makes sense to me. Thanks very much for sharing. So helpful.

0:17 all these videos keep saying the same thing about "where you are makes a difference". 100 years ago i would agree but global warming is SHOVING artic cold air as far south as Texas and hot Texas air north. Meaning, Northerner houses aren't built with the heat in mind and southern houses aren't built with the cold in mind. BOTH are built to #FAIL. Build with both in mind. The high winds, cold air, and hot temps. IWS below and above drip edge. Done! 😂
