Oh. Do not panic. You can manage your symptoms; be relaxed. If you have IBS-C, take coffee with a small amount of sugar, use a hot water bottle, and gently rub it on your belly if gas is trapped in your intestines. If you have IBS-D, drink fresh lemon water and go to sleep for 12 hours. Stop eating large amounts of food. After waking up, take one glass of lemon water and wait for your hunger cravings. first you check its IBS-D or Mixed? if only IBS-d than you have to balance your ions. 2nd the most most important you have to relax your mind. Avoid milk and milk products. You are right. first thing you have to consider you are IBS patient not like normal healthy people. But in some cases milk can be beneficial, when you have already a lot of gas than hot milk with small amount of coffee can help in releasing gas. other thing at night avoid milk it will more disturbing. In severe cramping very cold milk can be beneficial for cramping. Now another thing is that buffalos milk can be use for upper discussion. regards

I do not trust this advice. Other IBS places are quite clear that cooked potato when allowed to turned cold before consumption, creates resistant starches that can now reach down into the colon and feed the good bacteria. Telling people to drink water that has no minerals is considered very dangerous in my understanding and can cause water poisoning, which is a drop in a persons electrolytes to water ratio, actually harming the bodies ability to send nerve signals.

Good, you have started a healthy discussion. Now some important things need to understand. Every persons of IBS has its own symptoms according to food list. Now for potatoes it is good for some extent but for fried potatoes with spices, will not favor to IBS victim. It can create gas and discomfort when it reach to colon. The second thing is that please consider, salts and ions in water specially tap water can change normal nerve function. And we already know about IBS is neurogeatroinstinal disorder. so first go to zero mineral than add and check what mineral creating discomfort. Another thing is that said water is for one time when of are facing symptoms due to fried spices potatoes after that you have to adjust yourself according to your chart. regards

Weight fluctuations There is no heavy weigh in IBS. no Hair loss in IBS. Yes Weak muscles, when continuous symptoms and you stop eating. If you have upper symptoms again observe for 15 days than decide.
