Great review. Any ideas how to go about lengthening the hose?
@RogueElement16 сағат бұрын
Just need to buy the same diameter food grade hose at whatever length you need. I haven’t got around to it yet.

These routinely go on 20% off sale through Dometic or as mentioned below REI and currently OK4WD -Memorial day sale 2024. Which puts it near the price point you mentioned, which I agree is fair in this market. I wish they sold the “straw” on a cap and quick connect for the Jerry cans or the Blue 7 gal jugs that I already use. Even $56 for the jug is a bit much for a plastic 11 liter bottle. $80 for the pump is enough to shell out when others sell for less.

Have you used it yet? Any additional comments?

Great production. Enjoyed watching. Recommend some snatch blocks (or rings) for the RAM to carry as it's so heavy. That would have helped a single rig get it out faster.

This video highlights why I don't like to have anyone behind me when I'm doing those trails. People don't know they need to use 4low to go downhill and that's a huge mistake. Hill descend will use your brakes and it can overheat them on those step descend

Not in every vehicle. Some do but not all rigs use brakes with their hill descent.

Its always good to stick your head out on those tight switch backs, you can watch how your front tire trails so you dont get unerved, unless you have the biggest fender flares, stopping and looking is a good way to determine it.
@RogueElement14 күн бұрын
Oh we tried…you just can’t see past the hood on those steep uphills no matter how hard you hang out the window and gravity doesn’t help lol. One of the reasons we added a front camera after that trip. Also, that’s what friends are for…gotta be able to help each other out.

In my opinion you don't need beadlocks for the typenof offroading that you do in fact beadlocks are not road legal because of what happened method race makes some really nice bead grip wheels (not sponsored) but those willvwork great for the typenof offroading you do. My opinion don't kill me awesome video tho and glad nothing tragic happened
@RogueElementАй бұрын
We are aware…we had different plans until the beadlocks failed. And we’ve owned many sets of them in the past so definitely not our first rodeo with them but definitely the first time this happened to a set

This is a great product. The pump is more expensive than others out there, but it's made out of quality material, most are all plastic, this one is metal, it holds it charge well and pumps the water flow is at just the right pressure. I like that I can easily lift and move around 11 liters/3 gallons of water as 5 gallon and 7 gallon containers are difficult for me, an older lady, to lift and move around. I use this system for drinking, cooking and brushing my teeth water as I don't want to put a filtration system on my potable water tank, that would cost way more than two jugs and the pump. These store nicely under the sink in my van, since I have a ton of counter space, I currently set one of the jugs on my counter once I've set up camp, but I am looking into a longer hose so I can just have the pump on my counter. If you can afford this system up front, it's the way to go. This pump also has an automatic turn off so if it's left running it turns off so it doesn't drain the jug or flood the area too bad. If you are an REI member, watch for 20% off coupon they offer several times a year and find a friend who's a member who will let you use their 20% off to get a bit of savings 🙂

What exactly failed?
@RogueElementАй бұрын
The brakes overheated on the Ram. Not sure which part got too hot to create the failure but most likely enough to set the faults to go crazy and for the entire brake, ABS and ESC to pop codes.
