Also, you missed ringing one of the bells. Go back to where you beat the boss that summons snakes, and there’s a bell there (“Snake Trail” shrine is the closest shrine). After ringing that bell, it’ll teleport you to a secret area where you fight a secret boss. After beating him you get something that really helps you a lot with the boss at the end of the chapter. I highly advise doing this otherwise the boss at the end of the chapter will be much much harder

Also another useful tip. When you’re using the Red Tides transformation, you can use light attacks (square) to build up the meter on the bottom right of the screen. Once that meter is full you can use a special attack by dodging (circle) and then using a heavy attack right away (triangle). This special attack does a lot of damage and is really the ideal way to use the red tides transformation. Hopefully these tips help you in your journey!

A couple tips that I think will help you out a lot. Use Wandering Wight as your spirit, he’s one of the best spirits in the game and you can use him even into the late game, so focus on upgrading him. You just have to be very close to the enemy when using him otherwise you’ll miss. He does a lot of damage though when you do land the hit. Also, put more sparks (skill points) into “Staff Stances”, if you put 10 sparks into that category you’ll unlock 3 focus points (those are the circles on the bottom right of the screen that fill up when you attack enemies, and are used for heavy attacks when you press Y or triangle) the more focus points you have the more damage the heavy attack will do. And lastly, any time you get “Loujia Fragrant Vine” or “Awaken Wine Worm” make sure you go back and talk to the monkey in the cave by the “Marsh of the White Mist” shrine. You’ll use those vines and worms to upgrade your gourd so that it heals you more and you get more uses out of them before it runs out
