God, i missed playing this game, definitely one of my childhood favourites. I always do the Road Rage challenges as i loved causing chaos and crashing as many cars as possible haha Also, the editing in this video is top tier. Thanks for video! I've played this game in childhood. Well, I was happy to drive Carson Inferno BRT Van and hit 1k kilometres on odometer, just circling through Paradise City. And I remember the moment when I didn't know how to use the menu to restart the last race. And also, a friend told me that if you hit 60 takedowns in a road rage (tbh was my fav event type), then Big Surf Island will open... What a good time was that... Anyway, from 2018 I have Remastered version on my PS4 (now 100% complete single campaign, 100% Big Surf and ~10% bikes (not really love 'em), excluding Freeburn achievements and activities) and I really want to buy lisence version of Remastered for PC to install mods and refresh game experience. Seeing your video about my childhood' s game it's just a pleasure. It reminded me of those carefree days spent playing the Burnout. No working, university and financial problems. Just playing this game, have fun and dreaming of new Burnout series game...

Glad that the Burnout fandom isn’t dead because this game series is something that we needed in our daily lives.

Some people spend countless hours in Elden Ring perfecting their build and punishing themselves in no-hit boss runs. Me? I spent countless hours grinding on Costa di Amalfi, accumulating dozens of prize cars just to sell them for the cash for better cars. Either that or grinding the DTM series over and over for the prize car... and selling it. That didn't send me a little crazy though. That was trying to preserve my 100% strike rate. That actually included turning my PS2 off and on. I dunno how I didn't brick my system or memory card with that tactic. Still hold that perfect strike rate though.

You know what? This brings a happy tear to my eye. DiRT 2 somehow did that X-Games/festival atmosphere and style better than Forza Horizon ever did. Horizon 1 had the better story (for that series anyway), but DiRT 2 was somehow... better. Oh, and the damage modelling was better. Every Codemasters game in this era had the most supreme damage model of any racer. They had must had some dark magic hidden in that Ego Engine to make the crashes violent and incredible.
