If the lyrics weren’t on the screen, I wouldn’t be able to understand at least 50% of this short clip. What is with singers who don’t/won’t pronounce words properly and enunciate as well. Stringing words and phrases together with all of the many different “musical” noises that they make is distracting at best. What has happened to REAL country music?? Not pop country, country rock, country containing rap (the worst of the worst). There are so many songs on “country” radio today that 20 or 30 years ago (maybe as little as ten years ago) wouldn’t come close to being considered country. Change is not always good or for the better.

lol I’m gonna guess you didn’t see the first post of this song yesterday… it’s paying an ode to “whiskey lullaby” on the first line of the song and writing it from the point of view of how I’d imagine how tragically beautiful their love was leading up to the aftermath of “whiskey lullaby” the song shaped my childhood and how i approached song writing :) and credit the writers, producer and artists in my posts on my platforms. I’d never steal. :) it’s interpolation on a song that is very special to me :)

God, it seems like a lifetime ago when this song came out, I was 19 years old and now I am 38 years old. I really enjoy their song together lips of an angel. I wish they met a whole album together.
