Can you see how the journalists frame questions that are not straight forward and answering them in any way might implicate you as a leader and they can use it against you. However, he keeps answering them audaciously with no sense of condescending or inferiority as an African leader. He can see the complexity of their questions before answering them with equanimity and he said he doesn’t see himself inferior to any other so called coloured spectrum 😅

I saw him as a child in the early 1980s. He ran as a Senator for Aba Senatorial zone back then. His campaign posters with his gown and wig from his Speaker of the House days in the First Republic were all over the place in Ngwaland then. He won that election and became our senator for a second time in 1983 but the military struck in December 1983. I didn't like that he amended his name "Nwachukwu" to "Wachuku". What an adulteration, but he is entitled to do whatever with his name. His legacy though, lives on. One of our finest lawyers in Ngwa Land.

@@Itsjustebele Gosh I would have to think back, I was attending Tulane University New Orleans and she came to Loyola University New Orleans for an African Writers type of conference… it had to have been 1991 or 1992, I was so shocked when at some point I looked her up and it said she had passed, I was like “ but I just saw her”…. both colleges sit right next to each other in New Orleans I remember it being in March around Spring break I remember she had this high beautiful head wrap ..
