I have seen this man as a child in the early 90s from Mbawsi, my neighbouring village. He was a great man as I was told

I saw him as a child in the early 1980s. He ran as a Senator for Aba Senatorial zone back then. His campaign posters with his gown and wig from his Speaker of the House days in the First Republic were all over the place in Ngwaland then. He won that election and became our senator for a second time in 1983 but the military struck in December 1983. I didn't like that he amended his name "Nwachukwu" to "Wachuku". What an adulteration, but he is entitled to do whatever with his name. His legacy though, lives on. One of our finest lawyers in Ngwa Land.

The eminent Chief Jaja Wachukwu was hardly "sleeping" here. He held the entire United Nations Assembly spellbound with this excellent performance !!!

His name was Aja Nwachukwu and not Jaja.

@@tamunoj5437 not true. Aja Nwachukwu must be a different person. Jaja is from Mbawsi, close to my village. I saw him as a child. He was a brilliant Lawyer. His name is JAJA NWACHUKWU period.

@@Ch1mereucheya The Aja NWACHUKWU was a minister though at about the same period.

@@tamunoj5437 Yes Aja Nwachukwu, the minister, was my former lecturer at Abia State University. He lectured in Business and Finance and was a former minister of Education. He died around 2015 I suppose and was from Ebonyi State (formerly in Abia State).
