Taking into account that this was made back in 1992, this wasn't my favorite fan made Star Trek film, but I truly liked it. I'd have to say CPT Navarro was a great CPT and could sit in the captain chair of any Enterprise named ship or the heavy cruisers and give her a promotion out of that little puddle jumper. LT Sonar...Sonak was AOK too....needed just a wee bit bigger shirt but hey...ya gotta work with what ya have. He played a great 1st officer although I don't think I ever really heard him referred to him as that. I can't remember if the red shirt died in the transporter blast but in ST canon at least one red shirt should die in each story. LOL. Overall the crew did a fantastic job in their respective roles. The entrance of Dr. Crandall was a bit overdone though with all the goofy camera head shots (especially of Dr. Crandall....just....seemed....looonnnggg). But I did like it when Navarro kicked him off and didn't put up with his crap. That was a very fine piece of take back the bridge. But the Lower Decker....(before the Lower Deckers were famous) going to Dr Crandall to complain about being Lost in Space and then conniving with him...or did she....I don't remember....was a bit silly of a story line....three months out of the academy and first assignment....she is about as low as they come on a starship. Anyway....I did enjoy most of this. Crew was my favorite part.

Helen and George, and to all the fine folks who were involved in this terrific film; You people definitely hit a home run with set design, costumes, and makeup. But especially congratulations on the story as a whole. Excellent plot, fine pacing. You didn’t seem to try and over reach on special effects, so important a thing to keep in mind. I have say, the deep underground sets were outstanding, looks like a lot of work went into its design and construction. I think a number of other amateur Star Trek fan-productions have tried to do too much in regards to the special effects and not enough attention to story, dialogue and good acting, and their final product suffers for it. You all certainly seemed to have balanced everything just right. You should be very proud of this motion picture. Any other projects after this one?

I appreciate you pointing this out-- but it is not some hidden secret. Chain of Attack and the author is credited in the opening and closing credits. This film is also based on a short story I wrote called Starship Lost. It is a combination of the two, and has always been acknowledged. Thanks for watching and commenting! Back in 1992 there was no internet audience-- I made the film based on the book and short story solely just for myself and family. And then these many years later, I posted it to share with my fellow fans. Since then I've made two entirely original sequels to this movie (and as of this post) - 24 episodes of my Starship Antyllus series.

Well, we have years of positive reviews and have entertained an enormous amount of people. Not bad for a project made out of love and no money! The only thing that is so bad that it's funny is your opinion! Like your own KZbin channel, your opinion is bereft of content or importance. Your comment leads me to believe you don't know what a fan film is! At least I know exactly what I'm dealing with. And by the way-- it's Star Trek not "Start" Trek! You can't even get that right. @GeorgeKayaian
@GeorgeKayaian 3 ай бұрын
That is a great question! This version is the remastered one, which featured the new CGI version of the spfx. Before posting it on youtube, the original master (which was 4x3 aspect ratio) had deteriorated considerably! I went back to the vhs and Hi-8 tapes, and digitally translated them into my computer and upscaled the footage. Then came the hard part-- I re-edited the film! I pushed into the frame and recomposed the shots for a 16x9 frame ratio. I replaced the model shots for CGI, and added new music (the original score was all Wrath of Khan) and finally added deleted scenes that sat on the cutting room floor since the early 1990's! So-- I hope that answers your question-- it was a good one! And thanks for watching and commenting! It's appreciated. (BTW-- if you are curious the original model shots are on my channel under 1990's spfx reel)

@@jbrobertson6052 Way back in 1992, before the internet, I wanted to make a Trek movie just for myself-- to actually see if I could do it. I involved family and friends, and it was a huge project! I built everything myself using paper and tape and christmas lights, my brother built the original models, and including editing, took five years to make! We booked our local movie theater, and opened it up to the public, and we packed the place out, and it was a thrill to see our little epic on the big screen! (I filmed these events, and may post them on my channel one day!) Anyway, I thought that was it-- we did our Trek film. Then many years later, there was the internet. I remastered the original video, and replaced some of the model shots with CGI, added deleted scenes, and updated soundtrack. And I posted it! So a new audience has found it, and it's always a thrill to share it with everyone. I ended up making two sequels (Incident at Beta 9 Director's Cut) and (Star Trek: The Final Darkness) which can be found on my youtube channel. And currently, I'm filming my Trek series Starship Antyllus, so it's been quite a ride for me to say the least! Thanks for asking about it-- I hope you have an amazing and safe New Year!
