Looks good but looks flimsy. Is it at least 1/4 inch aluminum?
@SmokyMTNTacoАй бұрын
It's not flimsy, I can vouch for it, it iis metal and black power coated. The only thing that I can see what's wrong is that it isn't as long as the trd pro skid plate but it is about half the cost, so kind of evens out depending on your needs.

Any issue so far? I’m thinking about doing this to my Tundra but can’t find anyone who’s done it on one yet.

No issues at all. As a matter of fact, the wife was watching Big Bang Theory on a small road trip the other day 🙂

Had to make another trip back to the dealership to have the oil pan replaced. Another wasted day...
@Shadow-sh1mp3 ай бұрын
Ya I’m 20 and fairly young looking for it and brought my car to get an oil change at the closest quick lube place near me and ended up over heating the next day whole idling because it turns out the but like half a quart of oil in it
@Claymore3573 ай бұрын
No your dealer did that ❤
@tomcole47363 ай бұрын
Would never have that done at a dealership......they are the worst places to have your car serviced. Why people take it there is beyond me. There are i am suire good service departments, but I have yet to run into to one

Couldn’t you just leave stock bulbs in stock housing and disconnect connectors and reconnect new ones??? Now they have been a while any issues with blown fuses or any other electrical issues?
@SmokyMTNTaco3 ай бұрын
Yes you could have done it that way too. No issues with blown fuses or any other electrical issues. I would not put led bulbs into stock tail light assemblies, I have heard that could cause the fuse box to go bad. As long as it is plug and play, you should have no issues.

I've added a link to reviews on Amazon in the description. I also have a link to their full vehicle protection kit that I mention towards the end of the video.

Intro music is a bit overwhelming. I have installed the vehicle TRAP system offered by Disaster Preppers / Arthur T. Bradley. My vehicle is a 1997 model so less likely to be totally wiped out due to less computerized equipment.

What are your thoughts on Faraday Defense's full vehicle protection kit?
@jameskrivitsky97154 ай бұрын
@@SmokyMTNTaco I am not familiar with Faraday Defense brand . My kit has the battery TRAP, also ferrites that are installed on the main battery cables and a unit that is plugged into the 12 V cigarette lighter outlet. Not much more to do outside of sewing a EMP cloth tarp to cover the entire vehicle when it is parked. Kind of like insurance....not positive if it will be enough, but hope not to need it and find out otherwise.
@SmokyMTNTaco4 ай бұрын
@@jameskrivitsky9715 Sounds very similar to what Faraday Defense offers
@jraddd34774 ай бұрын
That is not going to do anything at at all unfortunately! You're better off wrapping your ECU and ECM modules in foil however with the newer vehicles you're pretty screwed anyway with how censor reliant they are. Even if you saved the boards from getting fried all those censors with their smaller computing power will leave your vehicle inoperable. You MAY get away with it with some older 80-90s vehicles being how their circuitry is extremely simple but thats a wait and see. You'd be covered with a mechanical diesel and probably carbureted. But ALL new vehicles are doomed from production.

@@SmokyMTNTaco If its anything like this then trash lol

Things do not have to be connected to a power source to suffer effects from an EMP. It will completely fry the caps on every board, just through the air.

What do you think about Faraday Defense's other products?
@warhawk13024 ай бұрын
I don't see how that would help against emp..An emp wave pushed electrons out of the way due to the enormous magnetic field..Magnetic shielding on wires, and grounded cages ate the only way to stop them. I don't see what a fuseable link would due? Maybe a lightning strike?..but those primarily go least resistance to ground.
@SmokyMTNTaco4 ай бұрын
Tell me what you think about their full vehicle protection kit. Faraday Defense says this will protect anything connected to battery, I certainly don't want to test it out 🙂
@ricksilver73984 ай бұрын
Why would you say remove the negative first and then the positive and then reverse order and then go straight to the negative side first
@SmokyMTNTaco4 ай бұрын
I didn't disconnect the battery. Faraday defense instructs that the EMP Blocking System, TRAB B, connects with the negative terminal first.
@ricksilver73984 ай бұрын
@SmokyMTNTaco I may have misunderstood the explanation. I figured it out after I posted the comment. It the process of removing and replacing the terminal in the event of a battery change out, etc. If I think what you were implying
