I’m planning to produce my own low-budget film and came across a book from 2021 which has a massive section (100 pages) documenting the production of Revenge of Billy the Kid in forensic detail from writing the script to selling the film in Cannes. Wow, what a find! Like a three year film school, but from boots-on-the-ground not classroom theory. Book is written by one of the writers of Billy the Kid. It’s called See You at the Premiere: Life at the Arse End of Showbiz. Got mine on Amazon.

@@troperblobby8409 😂😂😂 Look who says! Good to see you didn't even watch the movie. Even a Wattpad fanfic is better than this *garbage.* Even a 12 years old person could write a story better than this... *GARBAGE.* This movie is completely *GARBAGE,* and surely the WORST and most ofensive Phantom adaptation. Actually, calling this a "Phantom" adaptation is an insult. And before you shout like a child again, i already wrote Phantom adaptations that are real Phantom adaptations, and not this piece of trash. Not saying i'm more talented or better than Dario Argento (i have nothing against HIM, the movie is the movie, the guy is the guy), but it's not difficult to write a decent Phantom story.

Went straight to KZbin, where I found this... she is amazing. What a great band, too! So pure and understated... those guitar tones!! That guitar solo! I MUST see her play live. The paper Maurice Grosse refers to in this video seems to be "Recording Of Sudden Paranormal Changes Of Body Weight" on pages 105-6 in the 1982 edition of Research In Parapsychology (published in 1983). The article was written by John Hasted, David Robertson, and Ernesto Spinelli. It's a research brief on some preliminary scientific work apparently conducted in 1982. One of the editors of the journal at the time, John Beloff, was one of the foremost early critics of the Enfield case. When people cite early skeptics of Enfield, Anita Gregory and John Beloff are the two individuals cited most often. In addition to Beloff's editorial position with the journal, skeptics often contributed to it. The same edition of the journal that has the article Grosse cited also contains a research brief by James Randi, for example (see pages 112-13). So, while the paper Grosse apparently had in mind is just a research brief, it comes from a reputable journal that skeptics often contributed to, and the contents of the article are significant. You can read the whole article for yourself by registering at the Library of Exploratory Science web site and searching for the article with the information I've provided above. You can access the article (and other material there) for free for a week, but you'll have to pay to get access for a longer period of time. Here's the most relevant part of the article: "In the only session with erstwhile (Enfield) poltergeist subject, J. H. [Janet Hodgson], in the presence of Maurice Grosse and the authors, more interesting data were recorded. Instructions had just been given to the subject to rock the body slowly forwards and backwards, but the normal signals obtained when this maneuver is carried out do not depart from the mean value for any appreciable time. The J. H. data show two sudden five-second weight-increase signals of about one kg and a minute gradual weight increase which eventually returns to normal. We can find no explanation of these data in physical terms." (106) So, the apparently paranormal results of this scientific experiment were witnessed by at least four individuals aside from Janet: Grosse, Hasted, Robertson, and Spinelli. In other contexts, other people have said that they saw Janet levitating, sometimes with corroborating evidence: Grosse, John Rainbow, Hazel Short, an unnamed friend of Short interviewed by Grosse and Guy Playfair, etc. Peggy Hodgson said that she saw Janet levitate many times, at different speeds and in different patterns. She suggested that Janet was sometimes in a horizontal position when she levitated, not just in the vertical position we see in the famous photographs. For documentation of where these people made these claims, run a search for a May 9, 2017 Triablogue post titled "The Enfield Poltergeist And Skepticism". It's a collection of articles I've written on the Enfield case, and some of those articles address the levitation issue (see, especially, the articles responding to Chris French and Joe Nickell and the article on Ed and Lorraine Warren).

Sceptics will always be afraid of the paranormal, they cannot and will not believe that these things can happen in this day and age. @duncan36 Sorry but that's bullshit. Most films that get made lose money, same with books. Fact! And it's highly unlikely that just because it was a true story that it guaranteed it would be a mass-market hit. If it were that easy then everyone would be doing it. And the lie detector test proves that indeed they did believe that something strange was going on at the house.
