I agree, what motive? MONEY is a big enough motive to make people lie, it happens everyday everywhere.

Ronnie has changed his story a million times as to what happened on the night of the murders. Here are a few of his stories: it was a mafia hit, Dawn killed everyone and he killed Dawn in self defense. He overheard them contemplating on killing him and he decided to get them before they got him. And last, he claimed he was possessed by an Indian Chief's spirit who wanted them off his land.

The Lutzes lost everything including 2K down payment on the home, they came out of the ordeal in debt and were not the recipient of the profits from book and movies.

MJ1341 ... not true. The Lutz' belongings were auctioned off when the bank foreclosed on the house.

If we only ever went to the cinema because a movie was 'based on fact',we'd never go to the cinema! Silly comment from that young woman in this clip!

The Lutzes have always claimed that the book (which they did not write) and the movie added many fictional occurences, and even changed the series of events, etc. The Lutzes made a total of $300,000.00 off of their story. Divide that between the two over the many years they were ridiculed, it works out to less than $12,000.00 a year. Not much of a windfall. The lutzes only came forward with their story when they saw how it was being misrepresented.
