Hi! Is there a way I can contact you to chat? Mine is putting out it’s first seed pods. They’re only roughly a month old but it’s already putting out another flower. Should I still wait a year? I just read they come from 2 different regions and I believe mine may come from the opposite place as yours as my flowers never rise above the leaves and it has put out 4 flowers so far in the last 6 months or so.

I have one in zone 9 Florida and it took less than a year to give me a flower but not the seed pods. Do they need to be more mature? I grew from rhizome. How long before I can devide the rhizome? I don't always have luck with seeds. Thank you

So if I can grow gunnera manicata tinctoria and Kratom trees and the seeds I’d be safe to say I’d have good luck? They all seem to require the same treatment even if they come from two different worlds they are very similar

Hi Sally, I grow them in my home garden. I use the water I wash my rice with, my leftover coffee, as well as the water I use to boil my eggs. I also break the egg shells around the plant to stop potential snails from eating the leaves. They are thriving beautifully and note they take about 18-24 months before they flower. They are lovely in curries, laksa, add a punch to salads and you can make refreshing limeade by boiling it then mixing it with sugar lime and soda. All the best.
