I’m a stick shift guy so naturally I think I would prefer the CT5, but there’s something about the lines and fastback look that doesn’t fit on that car, and the black trim behind the rear doors look like it should belong on a Chevy Cruz. The CTS had everything right except not offering a manual. I’ve seen a lot of CT5 V BWs lately but the first time I saw a 3rd gen CTS V (which was earlier this year) I had to do a double take, I forgot they existed because I never see them but it’s a gorgeous car and has the presence of a high dollar luxury performance car that the CT5 just doesn’t match. I would almost consider an automatic CTS over a manual CT5 on looks alone. The CT5 V BW may be a fantastic car, it may be a better driver than the CTS V, and I’m glad they finally brought the manual back, but the look just doesn’t feel like a flagship Cadillac sedan and the exterior nor interior looks to justify the $100k price IMO.

The Lexus is an eyesore. Interior is nice but not special, looks like a modern BMW inside. Ghibli has a cult following of owners that absolutely adore it because it's a more special experience, regardless of the maintenance.

Is it cost effective? How much did you spend on the wheels and tires?

I don't see any C8s under 68K.

@@NegativoZ06 C8 prices are dropping even in Australia and these types of cars are usually VERY expensive here. I've been watching them for the last couple of years, they started at upwards of 300k (AUD), a standard 2024 C8 is as low as 170k (AUD) here now. Still expensive, as is most luxury cars here but it's still a massive drop in a 2 year time frame (yes, we received these cars late too). Thus, I cant imagine them not dropping in the US lol. In Australia, the C8 would be viewed as a "supercar" but I estimate in roughly another 2 or so it'd be worth around the price of a RS3, G87, base 718's etc. - so the price of standard sportscars.
@NegativoZ0614 күн бұрын
@@pn992That people pay more than it costs does not mean that prices drop drastically. The 2020 C8 in the US cost $60k new and still costs $68k used. If buying sneakers costs $100 and you pay $200, it is your problem for overpaying. C8 Z06 new cost $113k. I don't see any C8Z under $110k.

Dan will continue to make cinematic videos, but since we are always looking to add value to our subscribers we are looking to add additional content to the channel. If you have any feedback or suggestions on the type of content you'll like to see added, please leave us comments below!

@@SpeedLabsMotorEnvy Take a lesson from everyone; make two channels. If you want to do a podcast, do a dedicated podcast channel and promote it from your main channel. Dan had a good thing going with his car reviews. His cinnematic touch and no BS testing was very unique and had a great style. I think most subs loved that style and just how genuine he is. Also, I think the only way to successfully launch a prodcast channel would be starting off with his experience of testing and reviewing the car and then broadening the content from there.

Great vid and to the point. On the roll races with the auto, I wonder if you would be better off leaving it in full auto and putting the drive mode in Sport, which engages the performance algorithm shift mode instead of using the paddles. Seems like the shifts would be faster that way vs using the paddles.

I have been blessed to find and purchase an Audi 2020 RS3 with less than 30K miles. I had a 2019 Subaru WRX STi for just about 3 years. Do not miss the STi. There was just over 6 months of selling the 2019 WRX STi in March and getting the 2020 Audi RS3..:
