Why is it that someone from outside the community moves in and starts complaining about how things are being run and wants to change them? I doubt that of those 1000 people that signed the petition, more than 10% have been in Stafford more than 10 years. I left Fredericksburg after 22 years there shortly after the commuter rail opened and started bringing down the Liberals from DC and MD who left their cities because of the way they were being run, and then wanted to make Fredericksburg just like the places they left.

On the contrary, may who signed my petition have lived in Stafford for years and don't want to see their quiet peaceful communities west of I-95 off exit 140 destroyed by this behemoth. There is nothing political here let Buc-ees go somewhere else.

I completely disagree the communities of Austin Ridge, Embrey Mill and others are nice large homes in well kept neighborhoods. We are fighting to preserve our lifestyle of a walkable community and not see it destroyed by this behemoth called BUC-EES. THE BUC STOPS HERE!! NO BUC-EES in Stafford!!!

Violence and crime with Bucees????? Has he EVER been to a Bucees? I would LOVE to see his data to back this up. Bucees is like the Disneyland of gas stations. Super professional, safe locations. Here in Texas, we’ll drive 45 minutes to go there just to have a fun afternoon with the kids. Grab some lunch, snacks and then head home.

I’m from Maine and after my husbands third deployment my husband was having mental health issues… myself and his family went to the military base trying to get him help multiple times and all we were told was “He has to come in on his own for treatment” Needless to say, he never got the help he needed.

I say hooray to Matt! It's nice to see that somebody finally has some balls to say no to ever increasing spending and forever continuing resolutions that fail to make a f****** budget. Hazard country goes hurtling toward the cliff, it's nice to see that somebody wants to put on the brakes instead of arguing about how fast we're going to go.

This had nothing to do with our deficit spending but entirely about Matt Gaetz's ego and wanting to remove McCarthy from being Speaker of the House. This all started in January when Gaetz confronted McCarthy making ludicrous demands from him. This was a strategic move to take hm down using the democrats for his own her personal agenda. We'll see Gaetz making millions of dollars next year working for CNN, FOX or his own podcast cashing in on this historical coup against McCarthy. In reality, a small minority should never insert their will against the majority and that's what happened this week. This is very sad for the country weakening the Republicans for next year's elections which would be disastrous if the Dems take over and then you'll see massive spending once again. There is a saying better the devil you know than the devil you don't know.

I completely disagree over 95% of the Republican Conference wanted him to stay as Speaker of the House and it was Gaetz's personal battles with McCarthy that led to his motion to vacate. These eight Republican that voted to remove McCarthy did it for their own personal reason and not for the good of the country. Don't let them fool you.

When Mccarthy was running for speaker EVERYBODY knows the deal that Mccarthy made with gaetz so that gaetz would vote for him. He didn't hold out his end of the deal.
