If you're not safe in Lewiston, Maine you're not safe anywhere, the sad reality of 21st century America. This country has a serious mental health crisis with these individuals having access to firearms that's a dangerous combination and history has shown it over and over again.

I’m from Maine and after my husbands third deployment my husband was having mental health issues… myself and his family went to the military base trying to get him help multiple times and all we were told was “He has to come in on his own for treatment” Needless to say, he never got the help he needed.

I'm so sorry to hear that may he rest in peace many of those who serve in the military or as first responders give in to the pressures of the job and without professional treatment many unfortunately give up in life.
