That's really interesting. I'm not sure if I've ever had a lucid dream in my life but I think I remember a sort of false awakening that left me knowing I was dreaming. I woke up in my late grandma's house and I immediately felt something chasing me. I could FEEL the rush or thumping sorta like a heartbeat and I ran to the kitchen as if it was some sort of safe room all the while the dream felt like it was "shutting down". All the lights started shutting off and you could hear them like it was a movie. I ran like hell even though the kitchen wasn't far and I remember a number counting down. I got into the kitchen but the number went to 0 and I felt a sense of failure as my dream sort of powered down and it felt like the "simulation" stopped. I saw text implying that my brother died because I was too slow and that thing that was chasing me was right behind me and I remember hearing it breathe even though it stopped moving just as I did. I woke up drenched in sweat and opened my mouth to scream but I couldn't scream. It took me two minutes to voice my distress soo my family could try to comfort me. To this day it is probably the worst nightmare I ever had even though it was the shortest overall dream I've ever had. I'm almost certain the dream looped but I can't rember anymore detail since it happened long ago.

It’s happened to me once, where it looped like 8 times. It started with me waking up with sleep paralysis, but I slowly gained control of my body (which doesn’t happen with real sleep paralysis). My body felt like 1000 lbs, but I was able to get off the couch and walk to the kitchen. I flipped the light switch, and 💥 I was back on the couch (like I teleported). This repeated 7 or 8 times before I actually woke up on the couch (for real this time). It was terrifying. I’ve had sleep paralysis many times, but the false awakening loop only once. I hate both.
