I was victimized by my friend who got an Aussie. You won’t get addicted to humans ……but you will change your life to have one of these dogs. The first hit is free.

We have a new 3 months puppy. I see you have cats too at home. How did you introduce them so they are peaceful with each other?

My husband and I lost our Aussie "Bandit" last December, he was 12. I cried nonstop for at least 2 weeks. We are hoping to get a black tri-colored brother and sister from breeders here in AL soon, they are 7 weeks old!

First off I wanna say thank you so much for your Aussie training videos. I watched your videos and researched before I got my first Aussie and the rewards are absolutely wonderful. My question is about neutering. Is Winston neutered? Do you plan on getting him neutered or waiting or not doing it all? I’m asking cause my dog is not neutered and I personally feel like waiting and doing research on it. On top of that I’m waiting for him to mature and fill out some more
@winstontheaussieshep7 күн бұрын
Happy to help! He is not neutered, and I don't plan on neutering him unless there is a life threatening reason. The research keeps changing. It used to be fine at 6 months, then it was 1 year old, then 18months. I'n my opinion its just better to not neuter they are their for a reason lol. If you do plan on it I'd way until he's fully matured physically which is around 18 months old

We’ve had our Aussie now for 3 months (he’s 5 months old) I would love an in depth training plan you created for them? Seeing their drive and attention to you is inspiring as mine, while good at simple commands is very easily distracted and not as locked in. If you don’t already have a pdf training plan I would highly recommend creating one as I could see that bringing in some good income!

Sorry to hear about your stresses recently man. I know how you feel. Me and my family just had to put our 16 year old dog down a month ago suddenly. Took him to the emergency vet and found he had pancreatitis and the odds weren't good for any sort of long term recovery. They basically said there's a 70% chance he can make it a few more days. While it sounded good on paper, he was basically immobile and we could see the light leaving his precious eyes. His body was there but his soul was leaving. We made the very difficult decision to put him to sleep. A few weeks after, we got hit by hurricane Milton and got flooded pretty bad and are still cleaning up 2 weeks later... wishing you and your family the best and I hope your wife recovers well and the pregnancy goes smoothly as it can!

Sorry for your loss 😔 it must have been really hard. I hope you and your family can recover fast from the hurricane. I hope I didn't cost too much damage. Thank you for the kind words!

You've been helping me a lot with these videos. I think I started watching you about six months ago when I began thinking about getting an Australian Shepherd, and hopefully, I’ll be able to make it happen early next year. Your content is really great and so helpful for someone like me, who’s new to this world. Thank you so much for all the videos! PS: Love from Hungary :D

amazing how winston is so much better behaved than all the other dogs. Crazy. And every time he simply checked in with you if there is anything for him to worry about, you reassured him that its all good and he went on with his walk.

I just adopted a blue Merle Aussie and I also named him Winston ! He’s almost 9 months and let me tell you I’ve never had a dog like him. I’ve had Border Collies, Black Labs and German Shepherds and while those breeds do have very different personalities, I feel like Australian Shepherds are on a different level!

Thanks for the time you've taken to make these videos! After having raised and eventually lost 4 Bouvier's we are in the new world of Aussie's :) At my age (67yrs.) this is more work than I remember. It's been great though. Ozzi is almost 4 mnths. and a real treasure. He is a challenging stinker at times and already testing his boundries. I'm learning a lot with your videos, so thanks again.

Hi. I think your crate is way too small for win to comfortably turn around in. Try an XL dog crate, 42.5L by 28.5 W, using it for my 50lb aussie.

Thank you for the video. We just got an Aussie puppy so I’ve been watching everything on how to keep her happy and healthy. We are currently in the 2-4 month phase so she is a sweet angel 😇 I loved hearing about your experiences with the different phases, they were very insightful and documented some great observations that I will now be on the lookout for throughout the upcoming phases!

We just rescued an 11 week aussie puppy from an awful upbringing. She's a little older and we have to start from zero on training. She's not food motivated which makes it that much harder, and has such a different personality compared to my 6 year old border collie. Hooray to the puppy stage.
