Is there e benefit to doing all this with a saddle on? Or it can be done without saddle?

Don’t love how the horse is pulled behind the vertical, but since reining horses carry their head so low anyways and the horse isn’t being held in that frame for long, I can see how those moments of contact help to re-balance the horse. What brand are those draw reins?

My hands are too giving -it is hard to figure out-I wish people who dislike themselves or have been abused in their lives could have guidance in a special horse school before they ever have their own horse-also competitive riding can cause relentless(inexorable) abuse and danger--Your lesson today should be taught to every rider. This is very good work, but do you find those extra long split rope reins are a bit dangerous? what if she stepped on it? why so long?

How stupid this is, do you think horses normally would turn like that? Do you think that’s good for the horses tendons, ligaments etc… ugh, you damn people make me sick.

I wonder how comfortable it is for the horse to have his face almost touching the ground. It looks so unnatural.
@casdragon_59392 ай бұрын
If it was uncomfortable they wouldn't do it on their own. The horses pick their headset during training; some have it more level with the withers, others carry it lower.
@sandy999222 ай бұрын
@@casdragon_5939 I rode for many years, both English and western. The only way I ever saw horses heads being that low was when they put a Martin Gail on them, also called the tiedown. Train the horses to keep their heads down but in nature, you would never see that, I appreciate your comment, though. Everyone has a right to their opinion. 😀✌🏻
@maddiesalvatore84192 ай бұрын
I get what you mean but it’s also a big part because of breeding. my mare naturally carries her head quite low even without being ridden because of her confirmation. a horse built like she is doesn’t need things like tie downs to teach them to drop their head. I’m not saying some trainers don’t use tie downs (not something I agree with) but the people in reining seem to love that low head set so it’s going to also get bred into their horse’s confirmation making it more natural and requiring easier training without tools :)

@@maddiesalvatore8419 I understand where you’re coming from and your explanation makes sense. It’s nice for a change to have a real conversation without getting attacked. Lol. Have a great evening.

I feel like I’m not wasting my money on using Camelina oil if you’re using it too lol. I use Smart Earth brand I think it’s called. I’m going to compare price to the brand you use. I always thought it was important to use a high quality vitamin E especially here in the long cold winters of Canada when they can’t have grass. Thanks for all the tips. Again….that Palomino ❤❤❤

I wanna know how you get your horses looking so good I’m here in Florida. Is there a secret to the feeding program?
@cadetcadet18143 ай бұрын
How would you deal with a mare that will decide to stop and just decided not to move? Completely ignoring the whip? It’s at random moments. Not because she is tired. She will decided she doesn’t want to work and will stop and face me, ignoring all stimuli from the whip.

If you feed this horse high performance feed and supplements it a mistake...He needs clean feed that God made... clean Hay and clean oats no molasses or Hormones or sweet or high protein hay. Just a thought
@peggysmart4393 ай бұрын
I think he needs long hours of riding for many days. Good riding not hard riding fun for him seeing things.
