Maybe this is what the StewMac videos are trying to correct when filing the nut downward at an angle. They rub the nut with a pencil (that just sounds wrong :) to get graphite into the groove to act as a lube. Should work but clean your dirty nut afterward.

I have an "original" VOX Crybaby (which was a ripoff of an even earlier, 1960s pedal) from the 70s/80s. Awesome pedal. IMO, it still beats the newer tech wahs. I stress about the day I finally smoke it and have to either rebuild it or settle for something newer. If it was good enough for Hendrix, it's good enough for me.

Paul Stanley is rhythm guitar almost exclusively. He does play harmonic leads in several songs, but he's smart enough to rely on really excellent lead guitarists most of the time. He's advanced enough over the 50 years of professional performance to be able to carry as lead guitar now, but in the Destroyer era, starting in 1976, he really wasn't in the realm of Ace Frehley or any of the more modern leads the band has employed. Plus, he was the front-man and concentrated on vocals at the time. He has, IMO, improved substantially. That's what a half-century of practice will get you.

The violin carve is what prs calls the top carve on there guitars. The neck is prs wide thin neck profile.
I live in Bologna - northern Italy - and that strange instrument that you play (and played Reg Presley in "Wild thing") is named "ocarina", was invented and is typical from a small town in the county of Bologna, Budrio.

I was watching the professor of rock so I had to research this. When I was a kid for the ocarina solo on wild thing and ROCK in The USA, I would play along with a slide whistle and it was in perfect tune. I assume it was key of c.

The one they use for this track is in the key of C so that is correct!

OK, to clarify the 440Hz concept, when the guitars are tuned in Eb standard, they are STILL using the A440 Hz as the concert tuning. The alto sax is Eb, therefore A is C. They are transposing instruments, and the guitar when tuned different than Standard E, is ALSO a transposing instrument. That being said, this is great for when you are practicing with a E standard guitar! Thanks!

Great tutorial, I appreciate your effort to write down the tabs. And the ocarina try. Your ocarina and guitar are the same color, I like that. I'd like to really play original songs are they were played originally, but my level doesn't allows me to play hard things yet, however there's a bunch of iconic songs that were plain easy originally, I mean no all the rocks stars were Hendrix, besides most songs need to be played in a live enviroment while moving around. So there are lots of easy, yet nice songs to play complete, I don't like to play just a riff of a song. Thank you for bringing such an iconic and fun to play/sing song to por repertory.
