Thank you for documenting this. I truly can't wrap my head around my hometown being gone. I moved there in 93' and afternoons were spent at Top O The Mast, The Cottage and what used to be The Beached Whale or you could pay the person at Lani Kai pool to swim. My heart's just broken for everyone, the lives lost, all the hard honest work that went into building a good life on a beautiful beach and you didn't have to have a lot of money because it was Fort Myers Beach. Your neighbors and community knew each other, helped each other. I wasn't sure if I could watch it but I'm grateful for it. For those of us that enjoyed you before the $$$ hungry corporate boys swooped in, we are the richest, they never deserved your beauty.

I live on Ft Myers Beach Florida. Storm was hell. Destroyed 95% of what was standing. I have never been so scared in my life. Floating houses and boats on the main street. Cars and trucks upside down. I wonder why God lets so much destruction to happen?

This is actually breaking a Federal Law prohibiting feeding manatees fresh water from a hose because it conditions them to be in areas of human activity which is endangering them. This is a felony.

I went to help rebuild and it cost me a broken ankle when I fell from a 2 storie house. I fell 2 days before Thanksgiving and I'm still out healing not working. This storm affected alot of people just like it affected me

Gobsmacked , baffled after the cult shit show of Trump and now years of even the GOP having the b*Las to expose and vicariously admit the GOP tried reality show like tactics to gain votes from the disenchanted uneducated folks and made empty promises to the evangelicals that the evangelicals would have their personal agenda promoted - that wasn’t enough for the greedy grifting 1% of the wealthy - as a back up the GOP rolled out Ron DeSantis as an alternate . Channel change - can anyone out there educate me in simple terms where the 2 billion dollars Jared Kushner recieved came from ? I do know Trump treated his office as a monarchy and knighted Jared Kushner something like envoy representing the U.S. with the Middle East - never heard of Jared Kushner before Trump presidency - Jared Kushner is and was a total unknown and Henry Kissinger he is not nor will ever be . And the Maga crowd screams long and hard thru uneducated ideals and policies, cause the GOP decided to prop Trump up to about Hillary Clinton ( a lifelong devotee to her education and using that education towards devotion towards her country )
