Thank you!👑 I've tried that also. My hair eventually grows and then it's out again lol. It's just really curly in certain areas and refuse to stay in. Plus I notice since they are small sometimes it makes my loc weak in that area. So I try not to do that often. 💖

Your hair is really growing and coming along well. It looks healthy. Try not to do to many updo hair styles, that would eliminate the thinning on the ends and will also prevent brakeage. I had locs for 6 1/2 years, they started thinning on the ends an before I knew it, the thinning started to go to the scalp. My dermatologist said my follicles were inflamed due to an auto immune deficiency. So, take care of your hair, and be careful with styling, that also will prevent thinning. Happy locking!!! 🥀🥀🥀

I love, love, love the layered look. I braided my locs with marley hair last year. After I took them out, I noticed that I cut my locs too.I was upset with myself for weeks. Fast forward a year later, and my locs are layered & they look gorgeous! The layers make it look like I have more locs than I actually do,too. My head looks so much fuller. For anyone who watched the show Friends, I have "The Rachel", Locs Edition. Best mistake I've ever made..

Hey girl, 38-year-old here. Thank you SOOO much for sharing. I'll be having an open myomectomy in a month and have thought a lot about how I can change my diet (I'm also a type 1 diabetic so that complicates things quite a bit compared to a non-diabetic), what the healing timeframe will be like, what my energy levels will be like, and how my belly will look after the surgery. I also look pretty pregnant and I am very embarrassed by it. My fibroids are very large and I was asymptomatic until I went to the ER for urinary issues. Your belly looks so much better than it did in your pre-op video!! I feel pretty encouraged watching your journey. And I agree, 38 is not too old for a child... still hoping to be a mom some day soon myself :)

Yeah. I never dyed my first set and the ends were still breaking off. So it’s normal really. It’s fair cos we don’t get to shed our hairs so a little breakage isn’t bad at all. 😊

I'm seeing a lot of women who didn't dye their hair say this. So its definitely apart of the locing process. I believe texture and density plays apart of it also. Especially how often and quickly it happens. Thank you for sharing!💖

Hope your journey gets better. For fine hair: avoid heavy oils or products. Reduce frequency of styles (even simple ones might be too strenuous). Wash & condition every 2 weeks. Do a hot oil treatment every 2 weeks (rinse the oil out). Use very light/diluted leave in conditioner. Internally: check vitamin deficiencies. Manage stress. Illness also affects hair. I hope you find the cause.

Healthy hair over length or anything else. Your hair still looks nice,…i had layers in my last set of locs I cut off. Locs with layers gives it more pizzaz, a style. Locs that are one length looks kinda “blah” in my opinion.

I believe it can depending on your density and texture. I am not able to go too long without retwisting for that reason. You may have to increase your maintenance schedule.
