I didn’t see you mention any Ace Pickleball paddles. I just bought the Ace of Clubs without trying it, so wondering how you think that one is!

Did you add any weight? If so how much and where? Or was the footage of the shots in the singles game without extra weight on the paddle?

Titanium is such a misnomer. Titanium was a miscommunication in Chinese language. It described the 'color' so in reality it's a titanium color which is 'Polyester' (not really titanium

How much better can these paddles actually get? I mean what makes a good paddle at this point the paddles are too powerful. The sweet spots on paddles are huge and they hit so hard. And they all have crazy spin as well.

Im glad i watched this. I play with the Ruby. I love the Ruby but i feel like after 6 months my spin drop off has been pretty significant. So i have been looking at alternatives but i think ill just get another ruby. I remember the first week i got my ruby. Every drive was diving right over the net. They were like driving drop shots. Really made my game more versatile. The dwell time has been a game changer for me. I wish more paddles would start doing interchangeable faces like the reload.

What about the Hudef viva green three. I need y’all’s opinion on this and where it would be on the list. Why is it not on the list is a better question.

I'd love your thoughts about what paddles are good for tennis players (probably NTRP 3.5/4.0) who play pickleball mainly during the winter. Good video as always.

I play with the Ruby. That sinking in is a good description. I always told people it felt "squishy" when I first got it. I went from crbn 1x so at first the Ruby was extremely different for me but the reason I switched was because the 1x was too powerful. My serves and drives were awesome but my easy putaways were going out and the recoil in handbattles was hard to control. I got used to the Ruby and I love it now. I have considered getting the DBD just to see the difference but this video pretty much made me just want to buy another Ruby. My balls were alot slower but the dip was very steep and seemed to give opponents a hard time. I always wished I could've played myself with the Ruby just to see why people struggle with its shots. I can take really low dinks and speed them up a foot off the ground and split the ball right down the middle and have confidence it will drop in.

I have this paddle and I’ve tried so many paddles that are 200-300$ and honestly only a couple paddles like MODTA, ripple are significantly better to the point where they are worth upgrading to. The vatic prism is so complete for all types of play.

Best reviewer in the game, no one else has a better feel for paddles. 🐐 I’m curious man, between this paddle, the amped pro air, and vanguard control, which do you fell has the best “feel” for the ball?
@TopJoo73 күн бұрын
This specific paddle has last year's tech at a hefty $300 price tag. The J2K is the better paddle.
@kabob212 күн бұрын
Selkirk’s warranty, customer service and quality control are better. Honolulu’s starting to fall off with issues with inconsistent build quality. If the Vanguard Pro’s price weren’t so high it’d be a clear winner.

$230 usd vs a Neonic Force for $89 usd🤔 i might not be good at math or maybe the force isnt the right comparison but unless they has a guarantee of me winning a tournament that pays out $460 usd why would i buy this paddle?
@kabob212 күн бұрын
Neonic Force is a different playing paddle. I used to have one and it’s kind of been left behind except on price. Sweet spot isn’t great, feel is just ok, power is just ok, a little too head heavy balance, grip isn’t long enough for comfortable 2-handed backhands. It’s a good paddle for beginners but has its limitations against better all-court paddles in the $130-$190 range.

Very nice review and very well done. Try the Quiet Play Carbon Pro or the Whoop Ass which is a Raw Kevlar and carbon mix. Both are T 1100 and if you want to talk technology then talk to the guy who's been in the field for 40 years.

Great reviews, and you're spot on as far as the Shapeshifter. if you had to pick between the 2 , which would you put in tournament bag?
@Coach_A223 күн бұрын
My name is not Luca, but I would take a weighted up Shapeshifter (8.8 ozs) into a tournament over this paddle. Unbelievable power at this weight, high spin, mostly, outstanding control. Control equals tremendous capability to drop, dink, reset, and place the ball. Also works great for singles!
@863093 күн бұрын
@@Coach_A22 ive been playing with my Shapeshifter weighted at the 4/8 and on the throat at 8.6 oz. I love it other than under pressure in transition is sometimes ejects the ball faster and higher than what I expect, Like Luca said when the fiberglass gets into it, it livens up , so my resets are usually good, but always playing against Gearboxes sometimes the paddle really surprises me.

I agree with this review. Really like the control and sweet spot even more than the Luxx.

The J7K exceeds expectations at the baseline, while the J2K is the best all arounder. Probably ideal to purchase both paddles at this point. The rest of the J lines are irrelevant.

@LIVINGINFRISCOTX18 күн бұрын
Stuck at 3.5. I'm a 3.5 doubles player that focuses on spin on the serve and overall technique to get the opponent wide at the net. I wouldn't say on a power player - but I do enjoy the passing shots from my tennis days. I have the the Ronbus R.1 and its my dream tool. Trying to take my game to the next level. Would you recommend the Ripple or Nova or Pulsar for my next upgrade?
