Yes. THE FIRST! It pre-dates Messiah - Hymn To Abramelin by a year, and Death - Scream Bloody Gore & Necrophagia - Season Of The Dead by two years. If Abominations Of Desolation had been released by Morbid Angel in1986 like it was supposed to it would have also been one of the first. But Seven Churches beat em all by at least a year. Whether anyone likes it or not Possessed were the originators. Chuck Schuldiner himself even said it wasn't Death. All the haters can SUCK IT!😌

A banda Behemoth gravou um cover da música "Satanás", do Sarcófago. Por mais que a estética da banda faça parecer que Sarcófago era uma banda de Black Metal, o próprio baixista Wagner disse em um documentário chamado "Ruído das Minas" que eles sempre foram uma banda de Death Metal. Foi realmente uma pena Sarcófago não ter continuado em atividade e não ter tido a notoriedade que merecia, seria uma das melhores bandas do mundo. Uma das minhas músicas preferidas é "Desecration of virgin".

Morbid visions of Sepultura is the first death metal album

While Igor's drums defined the beat of Sepultura and Igor is my personal favorite drummer for his style, I think Eloy Casagrande is far better in certain aspects and is amazing drummer in general. This is at least my opinion as a loyal original Sepultura fan. But I don't believe anyone could replace Andreas and the way he influenced the band sound. Again - my personal opinion.
