Very few Bands can be "Called" as the most Important and Influential in Heavy Metal History. Celtic Frost are one of those bands. When i put the "To Mega Therion" vinyl playing,and after almost 40 years the "Atmosphere" and Sheer Heaviness of that sound Still blows me away. After 40 years no other Band was able to "Reproduce" or be so "Heavy" as Celtic Frost.( Until the huge disappointment of " Into the pandemonium" and "Cold Lake"... WTF they were thinking to change the "Sound" that Changed Heavy Metal forever to those Absolutely Shitty albuns..!!!! It was Very Depressing to realize that the Greatness of Celtic Frost was no more. Nevertheless their Legacy in the history of Heavy Metal is still Untouched.

8:45 what? I am Greek, and I understand of course the titles of the LPs, and it is a surprise for me to see that they had titles with complete Greek words (but written with the Latin alphabet). Επ`αριστερά δαίμονες, can be translated to "demons on the left " , and ʽΜελανά χάσματα " can be translated to "black gaps". Of course the band name , is another Greek word ʽΤρίπτυχον " which means "three folded".

Celtic Frost is one of my favorite metal bands from that time period. I had the Hell Hammer Apocalyptic Raids album when I was a teenager. Believe it or not, I had a really good experience listening to Apocalyptic Raids whilst trippin balls.

the americans still cannot pronouce this right ,but to say the frosties where one of the most important bands in metal is most definetly true awesome they helped to inovate so many sub-genres of metal thrash ,death,black ,avante-garde ,gothic even some doom pity about glam with cold lake but still love this band up there with sabbath ,priest ,maiden to name a few

Cold Lake is a great rockin' album. Yes it's different, but the songs rock. But Tom is funny, he used to disavow Hellhammer. Vanity Nemesis was the best comeback, I wish they'd stayed like this. Monotheist was I think Tom trying to give what he believed the fans wanted, just heaviness. I liked some songs but overall, I wish he's just went back to the Morbid Tales style.
