I've applied to 500+ labour and related jobs and can't get anything. I've had help with my resume, cover letters etc but no one is hiring for unskilled work in Vancouver.

I got fired 2 years ago as a Drywaller , open my own business right after I kept the business for 1 years after that I had some metal health issues and then I have no stable job for almost 2 years , had to max out my credit cards and had to apply for consumer proposal it’s being the worst time of my life , dealing with depression plus no job to pay bills ! I don’t know how to get out of this, hope God will look for me at some point

Hey! It depends if you will be receiving financial assistance from your family I would say. I did what you are planning to do a few years ago and I learnt a ton and grew as a person lots. However, rent was not as expensive back then. Let me know if that answers your question and thanks for watching!

@@vancouverexplained honestly I am thinking of going to college in Vancouver (La Salle college) and doing a graphic design diploma there one big reason for that being that I only have graphic design stuff there, not other subjects like maths and physics which really broke my ankles last year in school. Plus I could really get an in-depth feel for what it is like to live there before actually making the big move.

Hej Jag bor i Stockholm. Jag kommer till Vancouver för att studera företagsekonomi (Diploma). Jag har erfarenhet av att arbeta som ekonomiassistent som praktikant 3 månader i Solna. OCH inköp och sourcing projektledare som praktikant 4 månader Rosersberg (SEP 21 till januari 22). Jag har en masterexamen i företagsekonomi vid Mittuniversitetet. Hi, thanks for this video. I am a dependent spouse n I and my husband have applied for PR after getting our BC PNP. I also have an open work permit but am struggling to get a job as i don't have much work experience. I tried applying for recruiter and production coordinator jobs but they all need min of 2yrs experience. Is there any decent job that i can apply which doesn't need any prior experience? I am badly in need of a job. Thanks in advance 😊

Hey sorry that this is a little late, but my suggestion is that you get a low-skill job maybe as a cashier or something similar. That would give you a reference that can testify that you are a good worker for when you apply for a better job. Typically all good jobs require references unless you perform exceptionally in the interview. Thanks for watching!
