Tbh to me Bojack Horseman was the greatest gift I've ever received because my parents are EXACTLY like his and it comforts me to know that I'm not thr only one

This was from the pilot where Bojack's tone was a hunt more cartoony. It's still genuinely hilarious

One of my favorite scenes 😂 Bojack Horseman is honestly one of the best shows ever created. Hits every emotion, has valuable life lessons, it's absolutely hilarious, and unlike most shows, it ended so, so well.

I mean... When you think about how bad the Panama Canal has been for the environment and Politics, there is something to be said for "going around the horn like God intended" I totally expect to get flack here. Just playing devils advocate due to an intrusive impulse.

I love how people are getting philosophical about make believe, non-important characters over a show that they didnt even have a hand in creating.

Fun fact At the end of this episode, bojack talks about when he built a treehouse and his dad demolished it because he used screws, which his dad called "fancy jew nails" In the german version, his dad called them "fancy woman nails" I guess i dont need to explain why

His dad took the easy way out with the job at the Sugarman factory. He resented his wife for getting him the job AND for pressuring him towards it. He resented himself for cutting corners, being unable to write his novel, and being unable to stand by his own principles. And he got rewarded for it. Bojack took the easy way out with... honestly a lot of things. He resented the people who offered that opportunity, but also himself for cutting corners. And he got rewarded for it.

Funniest thing is, Bojack's dad was a loser. He wasn't half the man he said he was. I've meet quite a lot of loser abusive parents. It seems like their insecurities push them to try to shame their little innocent kids to feel bigger than them

But from California to New York you can only get there by sailing through the Panama Canal, further south your ship freezes and the current of the South Pacific sinks your ship.
