It's probably too late now. But dad should have gotten the blankets the doctors wiped the baby off with right after birth. And took them home, or had someone take them home. And lay them on the dogs beds. That way the dogs get the scent of mom's and baby's scent together. So the dogs relate the baby as part of mom. And sees her as part of mom. A vet told my mom to do that with my dog when I gave birth with my first. Cause she was sooo protective and obsessed with me. So when we got home, my dog saw my baby as part of me. And accepted him and guarded him as she did with me. So just a suggestion to any new parents in the future with fur doggies. You can do it with cats too. Congratulations to you guys and your families!! Shes beautiful!! ❤
