How did the grip hold up on you guys? I had the the same fitment "issues" on my Hogue grip and it broke after 15 rounds! The installation went exactly how you two showed in the video. I'm concerned the same thing is going to happen when I receive my second one, and I'm not sure how to prevent that in case I did something wrong.
@58Alpha
@58Alpha 2 күн бұрын
hmm, that is quite interesting. How did it break, the wood split? I am sure Hogue would have a warranty. For us, the grip has not broken or anything, it's still really nice and secured.
@Snattle_Rake
@Snattle_Rake 2 күн бұрын
@@58Alpha It did split at the grain. Directly under the trigger guard. I've already contacted Hogue and they are sending a replacement. I'm just concerned about the same thing happening to my second one as nothing significant was different between what I did and what was done in this video. The grain was a little different from all the other grips I've seen though. The entire grip had parallel grains, as opposed to others where the spot under the trigger guard loops around. If I'm not mistaken, that strengthens the wood overall

@@Snattle_Rake Ah, then I would focus more on that grip design than how you installed it. I'm sure the 2nd grip will do better then.

Nice job! but could we get the power for the monitors from sources other than the main circuit breaker panel ... like from the plugs on the wall?
@58Alpha
@58Alpha 2 күн бұрын
From an individual plug? That's gonna be different since many outlets are on the same circuit, and you could check the whole circuit that runs the plug you are curious about. Other than that, I'd recommend something like this which I use for individual plugs: amzn.to/3SebDEG I've used this for a couple years now and it's been awesome.

Nice install.....especially since you are "reading" each 120V leg of your city 240V supply. Question: now that you are monitorong the 2 x 120V legs on city power......why didn't you use a duplicate set of 2 meters for the generator? In my view, the "health" of each individual generator 120V leg might be more important to check if it's good....compared to the need to check each 120V leg of city power.....no ?

For a woods/black bear pistol, I'm currently trying to decide between the Sig P320 XTEN, and the discontinued Springfield XD-M OSP 10mm 4.5" Threaded (5.3" barrel length). Those are the only two TRUE full size 10mm pistols, that seem like theyd be okay to CC. I currently have a Gen 4 Glock 40, and a bunch of of really heavy 10mm 1911's. The G40 is really only suitable fir chest carry, or OWB carry.

Energizer better
Ай бұрын
Energizer Ultimate Lithium is for slow drain devices like smoke detectors, and so ill-suited to high drain applications like a flashlight. In that case, seek Ni-MH rechargeables or an 18650 Li-ion (NMC) flashlight because throwing away alkaline batteries all the time gets to be expensive and wasteful.
