It is your list so I respect that and you are entitled to your opinion, but Latvala should never be above Hirvonen and Alen at only #12 is a joke. He also isn't a "non-champion", the name of the title is just a formality.

It's not my opinion, it's a mathematical model (see first episode). Latvala has more starts, wins and stage wins than Hirvonen. Alen is mostly behind double champions or drivers with more starts, wins and wins per single season so it makes sense. FIA Cup awarded here 750 achievement points compared to 1000 for a drivers title. But, I don't consider them to be the same win, FIA cup for drivers had different events than WRC (for example Scottish Rally and Arctic Rally) and without the proper championship title, drivers didn't give so much value to it.

Nyt kun on käyty 40 kuljettajaa läpi, niin pystyn melkeinpä arvaamaan ketkä kuljettajat ovat seuraavalla Top 10 -listalla! 10 parhaimman joukossa on ainakin kolme suomalaiskuljettajaa, ja listan kärjessä on muuan ranskalainen ylivoimaisella pistesaldolla. *En malta odottaa viimeistä osaa!* 🤩

I was telling myself earlier if THE SWEDE, Kenneth Eriksson was above 30 or so, i’d be mad lol. He is my top 3 if not my favorite driver, he and Parmander, that duo is so iconic to me, and he has a nice voice and personality. He was one of the reasons in the WRC that made me Live and Love the first three Lancer Evolutions and rally. I’m so proud to own my Evo 1

Mikkelsen here? I'm surprised! I thought he was 5 or 6 positions ahead of Paddon. And Delecour (who won 4 times, not 5) I was sure that was near Mouton. But as I said, numbers don't lie. Oh... and according to these parameters, it looks like the worst WRC Champion is Salonen

Mikkelsen has quite a bit of WRC starts, podiums and three wins. Delecour's points are calculated from 4 wins, the 5 on the screen is just a typo, bummer but thanks for noting! Salonen didn't really have big success outside his title year, he was often in a car not capable of winning.

@itgetsfasternow yeah, about Mikkelsen this game does not count WRC2 titles (of course), at the end he could be also higher. Also the best make mistakes, It it's only on the screen it doesn't matter. (I am not a big fan of Salonen, I was Just curious to see Who was the worst champion according to this game, since the beginning)

Hi, It Gets Faster Now! TV. My name is Cameron Greenwood Cramp AKA CGC. I'm an Aussie. I'm almost 28 years old. I was born on February 6 1997. I live in Melbourne in Australia AKA the land down under. I am the biggest fan of IMSA and the WEC in the land down under too. I've been into IMSA for 21 years now. And I love it. It's actually my favourite motorsport nowadays along with the World Endurance Championship AKA WEC and MotoGP & the 24 Hours Of Le Mans. Back in the day, I used to be into all motorsports, but not anymore. It's been like that for the last 12 years also. My favourite IMSA season is every single one of them. From the classic original IMSA from 1971 to 1998 and new IMSA from 2014 onwards. My favourite races in IMSA are the Daytona 24 Hours, the 12 Hours Of Sebring and of course the Watkins Glen 6 Hour held at The Glen. My favourite World Endurance Championship or WEC for short is every single one from 2012 to present day. Watkins Glen AKA The Glen in Upstate New York, where they make steamed hams, is the best race track in the United States of America. Also, Francios Cevert is the greatest French person of all time, apart from Rene Arnoux, Alain Prost, and Albert The 5th Musketeer AKA Albert De Parmagnan. And also, 1989 is the best Le Mans ever, along with 1965, 1966, 1967, 1969, 1970, 1981, 1994 and 1995. The Le Mans 24 Hours is my favourite race of the year and my favourite sporting event of the year too. Le Mans is my favourite race track in the world along with The Glen AKA Watkins Glen and Bathurst. Jim Clark and Ayrton Senna are two of my favourite drivers of all time. They are two of the greatest drivers who ever lived. Colin McRae and Walter Rohrl & Henri Toivonen are three of my favourite rally drivers of all time. They're tree of the greatest rally drivers who ever lived. Burt Munro along with Freddie Spencer are two of my favourite motorcycle riders of all time. They are two of the greatest motorcycle racers who ever lived. The Ford GT40 and the Ford Mustang are two of my favourite Ford's of all time. Two of the best Ford's ever made. Dale Earnhardt and Richard Petty are two of my favourite NASCAR drivers of all time and two of my favourite Amercians too. The Dodge Viper RT/10, the McLaren F1 and Mini Cooper are my favourite cars of all time. Hey, the idea is great! But in my opinion, you should also consider that finishing a rally in the past was more difficult (the rallies were longer and the cars less reliable). So, maybe a % of DNF for crashes in the total entries could solve the problem 😃

kudos for the effort A small methodological note - the number of rallies per year sometimes differs significantly, which was not factored in (e.g. 2020 vs 2022-2024 --> 7 vs 13 rallies), if my understanding is correct same goes for stages....

@@moonnippy true, but would be tricky to include every season rally amount factored for driver scores. I would claim it balances out overall. Past rallies had more stages while drivers did only a few per season but usually something they preferred. However, championship points I left out since points systems have changed so greatly

@@Bazzgrassman Vartiamäki, Toikkala ja Kutemajärvi on kyllä hienoja pätkiä. Omista suosikeista Pengonpohja olisi pitänyt olla mukana, mutta se oli vain kahtena vuonna MM-rallissa, eikä siellä tapahtunut mitään.

Finally watched this onboard (after being in my watch later for the past year). And I can say that this is a lovely onboard. The mixing of the co driver and engine sound audio is perfect. I don't know Spanish but I do know that 'A Fondo' means flat out and I *HEARD* alot of the that. I never really seen a Lankamaa onboard and after seeing this I enjoy it. Lots of long flat out straights with the engine hitting the limiter. I reminds me of Leustu (Not the 40km Version, the Leustu version, one that was used in 2008). (I really love that Mikko Hirvonen Onboard from 2008 it lives rent free in my head). Except it's more narrower and very long flat out sections (especially downhill) I can only imagine what the average speed was on this stage. He was in 5th and 6th gear most of the time!

Lankamaa is quite exceptional by not having ditches. It's also very sandy and soft at many places. Also many very fast places and sudden rhythm and width changes. Someone who speaks Spanish said that Carlos is not happy with the car on these onboards.

Not the most highly profilic one, probably because the steering is on right and feels awkward to drive from there, but you can change it.

Olihan tässä oma fiiliksensä. 1987 kun autoja tehtiin eri lähtökohdista niin tämä oli yksi näkemys. Tai oikeastaanhan tämä tuli jo kaudelle 1986. Ajo-ominaisuudet oli huikeat mutta koneessa ei ollut tehoa. Pärjäsi hyvin liukkaissa oloissa.

Kovaa touhua siihen aikaan, pitkiä siirtymiä ja osa ek, sta ajettu lyhempinä osuuksina, esim, Papinniemi myötäpäivään ja pitkä suora karsittu pois jossa yleensä nykyisin 200km/h menee huippunopeudet.

@@itgetsfasternow Noilta vuosilta tosiaan löytyy tuo Kermolan ek jota ei ole aiemmin eikä sen jälkeen käytetty nopeuskilpailussa, sijaitsee Etelä-Savon ja Pohjois-Karjalan rajalla, huomioitavaa se että keskinopeudet ollut erityisen pienet , kapea ja vaikea ajettava ollut siihen aikaan? täytyy joskus ohikulkiessa käydä ajamassa se läpi. Ja heti perään lyhyellä siirtymällä Pekkolan ek joka lähti Rajavaaran tieltä ja päättyi Kesälahden tielle.

@@itgetsfasternow Täysiä ne ajo silloinkin v75. Mikkola ajoi vähän alitehoisella autolla muita vastaan ja laittoi painetta Alenille joka yritti sitten liikaa ja ajoi ulos ss24,lla Mikkolalla ei uran aikana paljon ulosajoja ollut, auto oli aina "hanskassa"

@@itgetsfasternow Kyllä se kertoo sitä että täysillä ajettiin silloin mitä autoilla pystyi, Raikuun ek, lle 5 pesässä 8000rpm bda escortilla joka on vieläkin ennätys loikka pituudessa.

13:00 korjaus että paikka näkyy tuossa kartassakin tuo eka kääntyvä vasen. nykyään ulkokurvissa punainen hallirakennus.

Olen tutkinut tätä asiaa ja minusta se ei voi olla tuo pätkän eka vasuri, sen perusteella mitä Eklundin runkivideolla näkyy ja mitä vanhoissa kartoissa näkyy.

@@OlliNiskanen Kopioin tähän aiemman selvittelyni: Maisemat on muuttuneet, joten katsotaan vanhoja karttoja. Nykyään Sunisen mutkan sisäpuolella on pelkkää peltoa, mutta aiemmin siellä on ollut maalaistalo. vanhatkartat.fi/#14.41/62.53173/25.74098 1. Vuoden 1984 kartassa näkyy että Sunisen paikassa on sisämutkassa asuintalo (musta laatikko) ihan tiessä kiinni tien suuntaisesti ja sisemmällä pihassa poikittain jokin muu piharakennus, ja oikeastaan se mansardikattoinen talo joka näkyy filmillä ambulanssin saapuessa sopisi tähän asetelmaan. (Vuoden 1967 kartassa näkyy samat rakennukset, mutta niiden vieressä vielä kaksi muuta asuinrakennusta, jotka on vuoden 1984 karttaan mennessä hävinneet, ehkä ovat palaneet/purettu jo ennen 1974?). 2. Sekä 1967 että 1984 kartoissa näkyy Sunisen mutkassa ulkomutkassa lato, kuten tuossa filmillä. Tuossa idemmässä mutkassa mitään rakennusta ei ole merkattu kumpaankaan karttaan. 3. Lisäksi filmillä näkyy edeltävän Fiatin kohdalla, että mutkan jälkeen on pitkään peltoa ulkomutkassa ja kauempana pelto loppuu metsään. Tämäkin täsmää Sunisen mutkaan vanhoissa peruskartoissa, kun taas idemmässä mutkassa pelto loppuu metsään jo kesken mutkaa. Ja käänteisesti Sunisen mutkan ulkomutkassa nykyään on puskaa ja taloja, minkävuoksi paikka näyttää nykyään erilaiselta. 4. Saabin tullessa mutkaan taustalla näkyy talo. Olisiko se talo Koivistonkyläntie 97? Huomioitavaa, että filmikameran ja googlen street view -kameran polttovälit ovat erilaiset, joten asioiden etäisyys näyttää kuvissa erilaiselta, mutta talon asento tiehen nähden, ikkunan paikka ja ulkorakennuksen paikka täsmäävät. Ja jälleen vastaavasti idempää mutkaa ei edellä yhtäkään taloa sopivassa kulmassa, myöskin vanhojen karttojen perusteella se on ollut pelkkää peltoa kuten nykyään. En usko, että näin vanha ja iso tie on merkittävästi muuttunut vuodesta 1974 nykypäivään. Jos tietä olisi tasoitettu, se näkyisi erona peltojen muotoon. Tosin nyppylän "putoavuutta" tai mutkan tiukkuutta on hankala arvioida nykypäivän kameroista (googlen kamera tai MM-rallin järjestäjien videoiden onboard-kamera).

Vuoden 2001 kilpailu oli allekirjoittaneelle ensimmäinen Suomen MM-ralli. *(Olin silloin 12-vuotias)* Silloin tuli oltua Mökkiperän erikoiskokeella 4km kohdalla EK:n lähdöstä, eli noin 300m ennen sitä kuuluisaa kiveä, johon Latvala osui vuonna 2008. Sen ainakin muistan, että pätkä alkoi myöhässä kun siellä oltiin tarvittu ilmeisesti ambulanssia yleisön takia, ja Keinolantie pätkän varteen oli niin ruuhkainen, että sitä piti hetken aikaa selvitellä ennen kuin saatiin edes autot parkkiin. Pätkähän meni sitten lopulta siirtymäksi, kun Italian Massimo Macaluso kaatoi Punton siinä hyppysuoralla ihan EK:n alussa. Kuljettajaparille ei vissiin käynyt mitään, mutta pari katsojaa otti pieniä kolhuja pyrkiessään Fiatin alta pois?

Katoin äsken täällä Tuben puolella vuoden 2000 Jyväskylän videota. Siinä haastateltiin kilpailunjohtaja Simo Lampista joka kertoi että tuolla Palsankylän ison hyppyrin osuudella oli ongelmia katsojien kanssa jotka eivät meinanneet totella turvallisuus ohjeita. Pätkä pääsi Lampisen kertoman mukaan alkamaan 14 minuuttia myöhässä.

@@Jonttu87YT Palsankylän pätkällä siinä jättihypyllä oli kyllä tuolloin pirusti porukkaa. GTV:n Jyskälä 2000 videolla näkyy miten paljon porukkaa siinä on, ja siinä on varmasti ollut järkkäreillä aikamoinen paimentaminen? Komeita hyppyjä siinä tuolloin nähtiin, ja niistä näyttävimmän esitti varmasti Italian Marco Menegatto. Aivan ylikovaa Mitsubishillä hyppyyn ja loikka tasamaalle! Lopputuloksena Mitsun pohjapanssari jäi siihen ja kartturin selkä otti kipeää.

Right after Craigs death I remember watching this onboard after popping out on my KZbin recommendations. This was the first non English onboard I watched, and I remember always when in class in my mind having Paavao Lukander call out the notes like in this video. It truly played a part in me falling in love in rallying. 2 Antti's changed my life for good.

Ei Siitama ole huono pätkä. Se on ainoa pätkä jota ajettiin muuttumattomana kymmenen vuoden ajan 80-luvun lopulta. Oli mielenkiintoista nähdä aikojen kehittyminen kun tuli uusia autoja. Pohja-ajaksi jäi 7.23, ja olisi mielenkiintoista nähdä mihin aikaan nyt tultaisiin.

Joo se on totta, että Siitamaa ajettiin pitkään ja yleisöä riitti. Mutta nykyautoille se on ehkä vähän turhan suoraviivainen, enkä tiedä onko se pienen tien osuus enää yhtä hyvässä kunnossa.

Uskila on Helsingistä tullessa sellasen 60 kilsaa lähempänä kuin Päijälä, joka on nykyään eteläisin pätkä. Sillä on jo ihan merkittävä ero. Savo ja Siitama varmaan tuli täyteen jo ihan tamperelaisistakin. Toki näitä pätkiä ajettiin usein juuri lauantaina eli vapaapäivänä, ja lähes kaikkina vuosina sää sattui suosimaan.
