Wooting 80 HE in the plastic case with the gateron magnetic jades sounds lovely.

PC plate is essentially impossible with hall effect switches as they need the plate to be rigid. A soft or flexible plate will result in false inputs, no matter the software.

Great video, only criticism I have was playing music over the sound test between switches. The sound of the switches sort of got lost there.

Guys help, Is the spacebar stabilizer uniquely mounted on the foam? I was able to remove all stabilizers but couldnt remove the spacebar stabilizer because it seemed obstructed by the foam.

The layout on this one is really weird tbh. Why would you need a full sized right shift and split left on a 40% ?
@Esuppie6 күн бұрын
I'd say that's a pretty normal size... Maybe even a little big of anything...

Hello what is the full price of every thing here?
@imlegend81086 күн бұрын
The question would be whats the appealing point to it? 80% is if you dont want that ugly num block. 75% is when you want that super clean hybrid look. But anything beyond that? 65% atl has some of the otherwise missing keys. 60% alr seems like a gamer gimmick. But 40%? Its only getting harder to type on. Not only bcs of the layout but also bcs you have to know so many keycombos to somehow activate the missing keys

Nah 40s are too big. My favorite board thus far is a QAZ 35% keyboard.

Nice vid mate Really hope more boards come out with a 1.25/2.25/2.75u split spacebar. Really nice for mod usage on the thumbs. Really love my Sinc with an f-row and XT column. Just wish I could get a 3-column XT, but at that point might as well ask for a numpad

At this point, it’s effectively a toy. The only way I can see anybody even remotely entertaining this is for gaming on the go. But even then, just get a 65% keyboard. It should still fit inside every adult size backpack just fine
@Callsign_Jaeger6 күн бұрын
I daily a 40%. Once you've set up your layers how YOU need them, they're perfectly fine to use. you can even set up keys to behave differently depending on if you just tap them or hold them.
@PaulyGutes6 күн бұрын
@ Out of curiosity, why would you make this your daily QB? I travel for work, and a low profile 75% keyboard is more than adequate for that.
@Callsign_Jaeger6 күн бұрын
@@PaulyGutes I have like a dozen different keyboards, all between 65% and 40%, and one single 75% board. They're all pretty 'wacky' layouts too, similar to the HHKB layout. For Gaming I use a custom Wooting 60HE. I try to switch my daily up from time to time but I always default back to one 40% board simply because it sounds and feels absolutely amazing to me, the small size also makes it super comfy to use as you don't have to hunt all over to reach for keys. 90% of the time I only really use the main layer with occasional use of the number / special character layer.
@maximo40776 күн бұрын
I use a keyboard smaller than 40% every day to work as a software developer. So it's not a toy, but it's definitely not for everyone, and there is always a period of adaptation to the new layout
@hihoyo376 күн бұрын
I use a ortho 40%, and it’s much easier to use (and bring around) than a normal keyboard: I don’t need to search for control keys, and almost never use anything above the first two layers (which can be customized to individual need).

Nah numbers are essential 😅

I published my review of this thing at Notebookcheck this week, too. It's such a cool little board, but I goddamn cannot stand the Flamingo switches. The Wisterias and Jade Blossoms are better from Epomaker. I was genuinely surprised by how much I like the TH40. It's become my daily driver lmao. Also if you're looking for a keycap set, if I'm not mistaken, a set that supports Alice layouts should work.

I actually daily drive a 40% alongside my rainy 75 while I'm at work. I'm an engineer and find the keymapping of my 40% to be really convenient so long as you can get used to the different input/functions. Definitely not a layout for everyone, but I have come to absolutely love 40% keyboards
@derkaiser98816 күн бұрын
I got so used to using 30s and 40s that on my regular keyboards (regular-ish, it's an Arisu) I use home row numbers. So much faster than reaching up for numbers.
