I would be interested to see whether there is any relationship or pattern amongst all the different angles of the planes that each shape's sequence can be dissected. Not sure whether that makes sense. My gut tells me there is a pattern to be discovered but I am not technical enough to explore it myself.

You are not dumb. You simply may have created a 3D geometrical fractal that no one else on the planet ever conceived of. Amazing! Google is your friend. Perhaps an image search for 3D fibonacci spirals will help, I see some similar stuff when I put that in.

I just found it and am blown away by how useful it could be. I tried to download it, but unfortunately, I am getting an error. Do you have any recommendations for moving forward with this? You need to install a new version of the Add-In that is compatible with this version of Fusion. Do you happen to have a newer version of this plugin? side note.. anyway to add this to the toolbar in manufacturing model create menu too? gonna look at the code and see cuz.. i would love to leave the design w/o dogbones and then add them in the manufacturing model

Do you have a new version of the Add-In for Sheeter? I just tried downloading and adding it to Fusion 360, but it's asking for a new version of the Add-In that is compatible with the latest version of Fusion 360.

I truly don't understand the beginning of this video, where he calls Fibonacci Sequence a conspiracy theory, and then goes to make the 3D models of it and constantly calls it "perfect geometry." Did he just prove his introduction of the conspiracy theory to actually be true?

I just tried this add-in and it's doing what you describe at 6:02. However, I'm not editing the part. I simply draw a block and a square hole and it flips out. Maybe this script doesn't work anymore??

When I was on the payroll as a designer in a design office, I worked with CAD on Siemens NX (during 35 years) to be able to create part families. Since I no longer had an NX license, I switched to Fusion, which was much less expensive. I didn't know that it was possible to create part families in Fusion 360 to feed a component library, but your video perfectly meets my expectations. Many thanks for this tutorial.

That's disappointing - I just went through the download/install process including setting up an account with N3rDlab to get the download, put it in the right place (slightly confusing, need to name the extracted top level folder "Sheeter", not "Fusion Sheeter" or anything else) , went to "My Add-Ins" section only for Fusion360 to report "Due to some internal changes made to the Fusion 360 API, the Add-In: 'Sheeter' from 'Patrick Rainsberry' cannot be loaded. You need to install a new version of the Add-In that is compatible with this version of Fusion 360." I'm running Fusion 360 2.0.17457 x86_64 on Windows10 Pro 22H2 and using the N3rDlab download as instructed below. Is this no longer keeping up with the latest version of Fusion360? Why would you do that to the model if thats done automatically in cnc program anyway if you select option to overcut inner corners?

A little question: a) Is it possible to "Export local file for all sizes" as .3mf? (Because I often use .3mf instead of .stl) b) Is it saves the last use of the "export local file for all sizes" or is there a place (maybe in some configuration file of your Add-in) to set it to another default? (Because I don't want STEP as default and I want as default: "Naming Option": "Description" "Export Scope": "Select Components Per Size" "Component Fole Name Option": "Description" c) Is it possible that it doesn't create a folder when exporting multiple .stl per size?

Hi Patrick I have found you utilises and videos fantastic, they have enable to justify the purchase of fusion 360 at work. I been building generic components and using Sheeter to build & record part data. I have a couple of question I hope you can help with 1. When I pick build all components in the spreadsheet it starts to build them and generally achieves a couple but then the others show the processing wheel icon but does complete the task. These are single board with holes in nothing complicated, am I missing some thing? 2. I am new to python and fusion 360 app development but I have programed in other application languages in the past. Is it easy to change Sheeter to read and write to excel sheets, as I would like to try to collect data from other production excel sheets. Hope you can help Cheers Neill

Hi Patrick Firstly I would like thank you for your videos, i have found them very interesting. Playing with SHEETER it has helped me with a design issue that has be challenging and time consuming to redesign multiple confirmations of the same generic part. QUESTION I would like to engrave a part ID on each part, which consists of 5 numbers. Is it possible like inventory to set the text as a parameter valve that can be set and changed from the spreadsheet. Hope you can help Cheers Neill

Thanks Patrick. I would suggest only scaling radially. If the length is scaled the thread pitch will change.

It seems that the golden ratio can be constructed from both squares and triangles. Possibly other regular shapes as well!

Great work! This looks like a great tool for making multiple variants/configurations of a model, something I had seen in Inventor which is sorely missing from Fusion 360. I struggled with making variant copies of both the design and the linked drawings recently -- will try this plugin instead next time!
