AKG all day Long! I have Both! Sennheiser is a Great Mic, AKG D5! My personal opinion is they both pass SM58. SM58 Was the Best, Greatest for its Price and Time

Have an OM2 and love it bc of its voice clarity but it’s very low output is a bit of a bummer and means you need more pricey recorders with very low preamp noise.

I think at present Mojave MA= D is best budget dynamic mic.

Both mics are excellent. I chose the d5 because it gives my voice more depth whereas the 58 is quite thin - although very clear - in its sound.

I mc in a night club and, a have a deep voice that tends to blend into the bass and the Shure 58s don't cut through very well for me. The humble akg d5 is also better than the beta58a which costs way more.

Got them both and the D5 is superior in many aspect

you must first try both on your own PA installation and at recording with the external sound card YOU own. You, the PA, the card and the mic create a special combination with a different response for both mics. You look at your wallet and then you choose.

E agora o meu Mic Mxl v6 começa gravando normal depois de um período gravando por exemplo um texto de 2 minutos em diante o áudio capturado por ele começa a ficar bem baixinho quase não dá pra ouvir. Vc poderia me ajudar tirar alguma dúvida ? Será se ele tá com problemas?

Late to the party and they run just over 30 bucks these days, but I just got one and I'm impressed with how much Spyderco goodness you get. Very solid and well made. It's a bit stiff and doesn't lend itself to the Spydie middle-finger flick, but I can flick it open with my thumb and you can put one finger on the choil and press the back lock with your thumb, then move it and finish closing one hand, so there's that. I'm impressed and pleased. If every manufacturer gave you this much knife for what I paid that would be nice, but as it is this stands out.

Grew up on 58s, and honestly came to dislike them. Bought the D5 and frankly it's an incredible value. SM58= "Shure Model of 1958". Yes, NINETEEN FRICKING FIFTY EIGHT. You think perhaps technology has moved on a little?

4:20 The only problem with the male to male adapter you're using is, its mono, not TRS so the signal, even though it comes out of the mixer is in stereo, once it reaches the male to male, it becomes mono and even though the interface on the computer side is stereo, its still mono going in. Make sure you buy a TRS male to male, not a standard 1/4 inch male to male

I had the SM58 for about 20 years, used it but never loved it, yeah I thought it was a bit muddy. The AKG D5 might be the right mic for me, I'm going to check it out!

Kind of the Rube Goldberg method. They offer RCA to 1/4" cables, so no need for all the adapters.

You are very bad in connections and cables rca2*2 was enough

Infact the D5 sounded muddier, also u were prob engaging the proximity effect on both of them, none of them sounded natural

I prefer the D5. I never could make it with the 58. Except on guitar cabs.
