Brilliant. 2 reasons why he wouldn't have done this in say 1991. 1- it wouldn't have been cool, 2- everyone's head would have exploded

Such a great, unique artist. Thankful for all the music he made and left us but the greats are a one time deal and simply irreplaceable.

There are other male vocalists that can sing the same range as Chris Cornell. But I've never heard anyone else do it like Chris Cornell. He brought a wheel barrow to hold his balls while he did it. All the others only had a tin cup. Chris sings with Jesus now.
@afonsodeportugal2 жыл бұрын
True. He sang well in the Soprano range and still sounded manly. It was insane, especially in his 20s and early 30s.

Took me a while to like his voice but no one can say he wasn't an extremely talented dude. Also, strangely enough, sometimes I get the impression he sounds a bit like Dio on some of his raspy belts, like their techniques were somewhat similar. Which is funny because they're both some of the hardest people to immitate, sound wise.

My god I only just discovered this today. It's great! Soundgarden going psychedelic (again) by way of a passing nod towards Hawkwind, I think. Using obvious influences to make something pretty original. Again! Always musical alchemists from their earliest days. Geniuses they proved themselves later to be. My favourite band of all time died with Chris but what a great body of work they left us!
