Maurice…always my favourite for SO many reasons. Robin……I thank him for his beautiful smile that he gave me when I spoke to him briefly at Manly Beach, Sydney, the day before the Australian concert. This was how he looked and I got such a shock at the concert when he wore his wig/toupee.

Barry and Robin fans gather ‘round. Setting aside everything else, the fact is both Barry and Robin are exceptionally gifted vocally. And Barry said they liked the sound of each other’s voices. Unless you’re being disingenuous, you have to admit this is the case, that they both have unique, extraordinary voices. It’s not a matter of who’s best, it’s a matter of taste. Whose voice you like best, which one does something for you. Or maybe both do. I don’t know about Robin and Mo, but I’m pretty sure if Barry today heard about the fighting over their voices he’d think it was pretty silly. Now for the video. Barry looks really good in those pants. And his voice sounds great. There’s just something about his clear, sweet, gorgeous tone that speaks to me. He’s a huge part of why they’re successful vocally. As for the charge that he’s stoned, I don’t usually notice or know what to label these types of things because I don’t live that type of lifestyle at all. But he does seem like he might be a little out of it. Barry said they were often partaking in things at this stage, and you can see him out of it in other videos, like, for instance, the making of Idea video. And the Barry joking around and being disrespectful to Robin charge. It’s fun to see him joking around. Possibly because he’s out of it. He never does. He’s usually the one straight-faced, refusing to look and laugh. I think people are unnecessarily up in arms about it just because it’s Barry doing it. If it was just Maurice they wouldn’t care. It’s just because it’s Barry, therefore an opportunity to put that darn Barry in his place. I love when Barry shows his humanness, because often he’s perfect. It’s not like it was Robin’s big moment song, aka Joke, and it’s not like Barry didn’t have to smile off Maurice doing the same thing, often. At the end of the day they probably laughed a lot of things off, and they all lived to see another day.

Our neighbours the gibb family were so lovely n sweet, on n off stage humble and blessings all around them, we got photos they gave us and signed them kindly. In our streets they made us laugh so much eith our Mo n his eye brows lifts and our rob n his silly sideways walks and falls , nearly lost our drinks bery funny😅😅 , the way both boys pretending they was about to fall into the middle of our roads and their big bro barry trying to catch them , scarey but fun. N playing in the ginnels was part of all our lives, always dark n bloody freezing n wet. But good coz out the way of adults and cars. Marbles a big game back then. Anyways glad they got out it was nt good place but thats how it was, now same we here n u got to be careful at certain times, we also got out too them to Australia n us down south by the sea. These were our neighbours and friends and lived near us in our town of Manchester, we loved them as little kids funny as and now even more, just as northern boys who were great grounded n humble should be their middle name, they were the best ever, in this world, wow totally amazing and beautiful heavenly blessed. We miss them here n so very much god it really hurts like nothing ever weve felt before. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinions without being criticized about their views. Personally, I do think Robin has the best voice in the group, however, he is not my favorite Bee Gee. My first memories of the Bee Gees were of Mo and Lulu getting married and I’ve loved him ever since. He was such a kind, generous, friendly, humble, humorous man who loved his family dearly. He spent the last years of his life making up to his wife for all the years of basically hell he had put her through with his drinking. Not to mention he was an incredibly talented musician, self taught like his brothers, who played multiple instruments. He was truly the man in the middle, the one who kept the group together, as well as the musical director and arranger of most of their songs.
