This was the mystery novel season for the Boys. You wondered, are they ready yet for a title run? Are they too young, are the Niners too strong? In the NFC title, Emmitt just wouldnt let them lose. 3rd down cobversion after 3rd down conversion, on those 2 amazing drives in the second half. Then,.........Harper. He completed Drew Pearson's 'run' of the 81 title game, that Eric Wright's jersey pull denied him for a miracle TD. And, it was over. No way they were going to lose in Pasadena, and every answer to the mystery was revealed. The happiest season in Cowboys history. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

Cowboys got lucky making it to the Super Bowl that year. It was clearly rigged against my Niners.

And the Cowboys will not win another Suoer Bowl while the Jones family is in charge!!!!! Must watch yesteryears videos to see Dallas in SB. Jerry is an egotistical buffoon and an Arkansas peckerwood!

I had to look at it 5x, but the pass at 13:38 Fran threw started at his own 39 and would have landed on the Dallas 5. That's 56 yards in the air. Awfully impressive for Fran and for 51 years ago!

Finally, after so many years of near misses, lost playoff games, the first in 1957 against the Lions for the tie breaker, 1970,71 and 72, and the bad seasons off and on through the years, the 49ers finally won the two games that made them NFL Champs/Super Bowl Champs!

So Dallas ran up 27 points on the league best D (Rams) but could scrounge up a lone FG against the Vikes?!?!?
@sportshistorybuff3198 ай бұрын
Was the SB loss to the Chiefs really an upset, or just a slap upside the head to the NFL's overconfidence? The same overconfidence that had the Colts 19 point favorites against the Jets. I am not at all confident that Calvin Hill and Bob Lilly would have changed the outcome here.
@joseport68637 ай бұрын
According to Bud Grant, neither the Colts nor the Vikings had any business being favored by so many. Instead, the NFL wanted to project their league as far greater than the AFL .

If Dallas had pulled this out and then stopped the Packers the next year on the goal line in the Ice Bowl, and won Super Bowls 1 and 2, the NFL would be playing for the Landry Trophy. It was that close.

According to Jerry Jones there were 500 coaches in America that could coach the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. Barry Switzer wasn’t one of them. At least in 1994 he wasn’t.🤣🤣🤣

We can always talk about it, but if Jimmy stays I can for sure Dallas doesn't go down 21-0 after 3 possessions against the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.
@charleshart301019 күн бұрын
Difference was in 49ers games in 94 were turnovers cowboys turned it over in 1st 3 games cowboys didn't turn it over 49ers bought a defense just to beat cowboys injuries to Erik Williams and emmitt Smith hurt for championship game cowboys would've had championship game at home but lost 49ers game by 1 score and lions and browns at home by few points but biggest reason was no Jimmy Johnson lost the edge so disappointing 94 team was way better than 95 team
