I deal with maldaptive daydreaming. I hate it I hate everything about. And if u don't know what maldaptive daydreaming it's like when u create fake characters in your head and you leave your physical body if u do it for a long time you will really like really believe I hate and it makes me feel behind. I also try methods to get rid of it but it wont work. I hope no one else here has to deal with it. It breaks my heart

It’s ok to feel lost. With social media, it can be easy to feel like ur falling behind or unhappy with where you are in life. You are on YOUR own journey. In the spectrum of things, you are right where you NEED to be.

But how do you maintain that balance of being ambitious and being aware of the reality you are in? yes i have to accept my reality how it is but how do i change it without going insaen?

I’m glad it resonated with you. It’s definitely not a bad trait we share. You always wanna be striving to grow and never be complacent. Personally I’m still on my journey to achieve balance tho. What I’ve learned is that there is usually a deeper reason I’m neglecting when chasing a surface level goal. I try to take a step back sometimes and breathe. That’s when I realize the external factors of my reality won’t necessarily give me happiness or what I want. I approach opportunities of change and growth more healthily when I learn to love myself and my reality more.

valid I felt that way too. But you're not a failure if you don't get a job at FAANG. There are plenty of other swe opportunities that can be just as fulfilling and rewarding. Getting to FAANG won't necessarily make you feel complete, but never say never. Don't count yourself out ; )
