Great to see some Mini content back on the channel. Ed has rust in the usual places but it appears easy enough for a talented man like you to do the work. Let’s see you cue the A team music, crack the grinder and welder out. A bit of new metal and boom the floor is done.

Although I agree with the overall technique, I'm a bit concerned with how the torque wrench is used. The wrench is pulled upward when tightening the nut. You can see that the entire car is lifted up from the jack stand. With a bit of bad luck the car might slip off from the stand, which would result in big problems. I would orientate the wrench in the opposite direction such that I'm pushing it downward instead of pulling upward. When pushing downward you don't have the risk of lifting the car up from the jack stand.

I'm sitting here watching you torque on the puller thinking to myself "does he know? Does he have steel toe shoes? He must know!" They fire right off when they go bang 🤣 Mine was soooo stuck. Heat, impact, bent a cheap puller, all the cheats and still nothing. Heated her up, left tension on the puller and went to sleep. Went bang in the night on me and only dented the floor a little bit.

You need to use a 3/8 drive ratchet and sockets for this work, half inch drive is too big and clumsy, also you run the risk of over tightening the nuts and bolts with having too much leverage .......You will find the 3/8 drive much more user friendly on this small stuff

I used to work at Mr Clutch. We used to do 3 or 4 of these mini clutches a week as well as replacing the reverse idler bushes. I changed my puller so they all had 19 mm heads so the 3 long bolts & the centre bolt, I also had a mini starter motor gear which had a small pieces of plate welded on the back & front to stop it falling off & it worked perfectly as the fly wheel lock. I remember working on a Sierra sapphire cosworth replica which a 18 year old kids father brought in for a new clutch. This kid had built this replica which he started putting together from 16 after saving up his paper rounds money & every odd job he ever did bare in mind every part he bought came from scrap yards he & his father visited together & from exchange & mart magazines for sale & wanted section this was before the days of eBay. His dad brought it in as a surprise as his son had joined the army and hadn't even driven it. Those were the days . .

I would not recommend SGS, I bought some of those skates and tried to move my trailer on block paving and they folded up like a cheap baking tray, the rods end to end give some reinforcment but they have no strength side to side so I have removed the wheels and welded some angle iron on the ends to give them some strength, I also have their 3 ton trolley jack that leaks and 2 & 1/2 ton low profile that leaks and has a gouge in the piston so something inside has clearly broken up, spare parts hard to identify from very poor print on exploded diagram and customer service not helpful , both jacks failed in about 2 years with only occasional use on my own cars , they give the impression that they manufacture in this country but I have seen what appear to be identical jacks and they are China crap, I had a Kamasa trolley jack over 20 years that I would have done better to find new seals for than to waste money on SGS.

I love it. With the lance attachment you can do inside skirts and chassis rails. I’d let it dry for 48hr otherwise dirt sticks to it but it never really fully drys. I removed it after 12 months with the remover and it’s perfect underneath I then reapply for another 12 months best on the market.

You need to put the engine at TDC or the "C" clip can drop ond jam behind the flywheel, also a spanner wedged into the teeth of the flywheel will lock the engine and also tap the flywheel through the starter hole to release it

Hello there, if your alternator makes that noise it is probably due to the bearings after having the belt with too much tension. The 13mm must be measured not on the top of the belt, but in the middle of "the longest part between 2 poles which is under the alternator, front side. Regards from Spain.

Two problems with CV joint Bolts: The first is the accumulation of dirt inside the screw head, which makes it difficult to open. The second is the corrosion of the internal hexagonal corners of the screw due to rust and not using a lubricant.
