Unfortunately, recycling has been discovered to be a big scam to the American public. The petroleum companies wanted us to think that plastic was better because we could recycle and reuse it. State governments even mandated it. There was never a plan in place to execute on this promise even 40 years later.

Im one totally for a cleaner and healthier environment, but so many health issues with the passing back and forth of the customers own container. Unfortunately it seems as no matter what we try anymore, it leads to another issue.

I am not a fan of starbucks corp, but they are correct about dist. of recycling outside locations. It's a Waste Management issue, more than businesses themselves (since forever)

Easy solution. Make your own coffee and drinks at home, use your own reusable cup and save the planet. Choose aluminum cans when available because they are easy to recycle and much cheaper than making new aluminum from the ground. The amount of waste generated every year is staggering. It can't go on like this. If you won't do it for yourself, do it for your grandkids.
