S120 same issue. What a shit company. Says 120.00 for a replacement

I bought mine in March 2022 just went out this morning. Called John Deere and guess what out of warranty but if you’ll bring it in and pay us a diagnostics fee will be more than happy to research the problem for you then they’ll charge me probably $150 but the part in. Thanks, but no thanks if I known John Deere was this way. I would’ve never bought one. I would’ve bought a club cadet. I’m going to call the store that I purchased this from to see if there’s anything that they can do.

Same here. I got a S240 with less then 60 hours and it failed. Haven’t called yet to see if it’s covered. Either way this should be covered by JD if not maybe a class action lawsuit should be in order. Thanks for the video.

The inflation was caused by three MAIN things (the first two immediate and acute and the last one the reason for extended high prices): 1) Pent up demand caused by the pandemic; 2) Supply chain issues casued by the pandemic; 3) Companies gouging customers with higher prices than necessary when they were making record profits. IF you are going to blame Biden and Harris for the inflation, then you MUST also give them credit for getting inflation now back to BELOW historic norms. If you want to blame someone for inflation, it was trump who started the unregulated PPP loans that gave the rich trillions that they were eventually forgiven for. Same issue with my S240

I just experienced the same problem with my s130. I was only able to see my hours of usage, I was unable to see how much fuel is in the fuel tank. I do not know why the part has on it, MowerPlus tm Fuel Gauge. It is an hourly gauge with the ability to see how much fuel is in your fuel tank. The one gentleman who was told that the gauge has a battery in it was miss informed. The gauge is hardwired to the harness, and that is why the tractor would not start when he removed the gauge. I’m not sure if the part I used is compatible to all models, but here’s the part number, AUC15402. You have to go to a John Deere dealer for the part. The part is a little pricey ($77.00), but I was able to get mine today from my local John Deere dealer. Very easy to install. I now know how much fuel is in my fuel tank. I only hope that this gauge lasts longer than 2 years!!!!! Hope this was/is helpful. Knowledge is key…….

S160, 2 years and 3 weeks old, approximately 30 hours on the unit. Same thing has happened to me. The Reddit world is alive with people with the same issue. The combined fuel gauge/hour meter is a joke. John Deere should be ashamed to own this problem. They should be stepping up to the plate to fix an obvious engineering screw up. It seems to have been traced to a faulty design incorporating a battery that cannot be replaced.

Same issue, 2022 s130 with 27 hours. Glad it isn’t just me. The fuel gauge was the main reason I bought this model. If I known this I’d just kept my E model

Yep. S 130. 2 years old. Can't remember how many hours as I was using this gauge to keep track..... Thinkiing of pulling it off and taking a look inside. Im handy like that. But unfortunately I need it to keep it running. I use it for all seasons. So I can't pull it without a replacement. John deere canada never got back to me about price and availability. Basically pound sand bud your warranty is up!

Same issue with my S120. 5 months out of warranty. Contacted John Deere and basically said sorry about your luck and here is a link to buy a new one. They didn't even ask any specific questions about the issue , so I'm sure they are completely aware of this issue. They said they haven't issued any recalls. I find this to be completely ridiculous.

Yours should be under warranty… 200 hours
