Your background and emphasis appears to be on the design aspect of the watch, but you don’t address the mechanical aspect of the watches, i.e., the technical movement, which is by far the most important feature of the timepiece because that is what tracks the time. So, while I’m impressed with your design, I know nothing about your technical qualifications and the movements that you choose to incorporate in your watch. Perhaps, you could spend a little bit of your nicely choreographed infomercial to address what makes your watches tick!

A very nice watch indeed, BUT the position of the winder negates meaningful linkage to the Dirty Dozen: I like my Baltany "Dirty Dozen" mechanical movement watch...this has an automatic movement, even though the original WW2 specification watches were all manual [so I understand ]. Even so, this Vario and my Baltany are both very worthwhile instruments.

Thank you for your comments. The crown at 4pm works fine for us because we didn't set out to make replicas but wanted a modern twist to our watches.

Own and love my grey version with plush (very) grey strap. Love the textured dial, hands (and 2 colored lume), beautifully curved lugs and oversized, off centered crown- which I usually hate (somehow Vario makes it work)! Wish the crystal was slightly domed, but... I'm set with this and my Hamilton Pilot Pioneer- which also looks great with the black Vario Cordura strap. PS- Can't hear- unless placed next to ear.
